Is there any reason why I called 3 times and was hung up on 3 times? I quite literally heard someone pick up the phone and hang it up. Really nice coming from a pharmacy where people could be calling for meds. Really professional. Now I understand why everyone hates this store

Let me start by saying this. You have to be REALLY BAD to get me mad at customer service. I worked in retail for a bit and vowed to never complain to retail workers/customer service because customers generally don't know the crap they put up with. However this was ridiculous. Today is Thursday. I called yesterday to have my prescription filled that was due for refill. The system said it would be ready by 5pm that day and would notify me via text. Great! I wait and wait and no text comes. Ok that's sort of frustrating but I still have some of the medication, I'll try tomorrow and see what happens. Thursday (today) I call again and the online system acts like I never called to get the prediction filled so I have to ask to do it again. I do so and this time it says it will be ready this afternoon (3pm) once again. I wait and wait. Still no message. Ok at this point I'm going into the pharmacy to ask if maybe it's ready and the message didn't get sent or if maybe they can at least refill it while I wait in-store. I go in (and wait in a really long line for the pharmacy about 15 minutes) and sure enough it isn't ready and the pharmacist seemed to think it never even got requested to refill. Whatever, she offers to have it filled right then and be ready in about 20 minutes. That's fine, so I wait. I still don't get any message saying it's ready so I come back about 40 minutes later. Have to wait in another very long line (albeit not as long as the first time) This time there is a different pharmacist there. I ask to pick up my prescription and, surprise! It's not ready. In fact, I'm the system it apparently looked as if the refill was never even initiated AGAIN despite what the first pharmacist told me. Even worse, this pharmacist acts like I'm crazy after I told her I had already asked her coworker and she said it would be ready while I was waiting. This pharmacist offered me to wait 15 more minutes. Like, no. I'm not waiting another 15 minutes then line only to find out it isn't filled again. So I just left. Again, I HATE being critical of customer service EVER. I will literally accept bricks being thrown at me before I complain to a cashier/waiter etc. but c'mon now.

I have shopped at the North Andover/Route 114 CVS for many years. I've always found the selection and service to be superior. It is my understanding that a CVS close-by recently closed so many new costumers are using this location now. Unfortunately, management has not addressed a number of issues that could reasonably be expected with many new shoppers, especially during the holiday season. Here are a few: 1. Not enough staff, period 2. New staff are not well trained but they are trying. Please include calling for help sooner when there are up to 8 people in line! 3. Fix the self-check-out machines. Two weren't working today 4. Fix the instant photo machines-they are jamming AND there was a hand-written post-it note about no receipts available. Reminder that many people use these machines during the holiday season for photos! This is a short list. These issues started recently so I hope CVS is already aware and is addressing some if not all of these problems. The staff are pleasant but harried so they need more support!

I'd give less than 1-star if it was possible. The Pharmacy is dreadful and I'm so thankful that I found Goldenseal Apothecary in North Andover -- I transferred my Rx's to them and haven't looked back. From the creepy CVS robocall to showing up and not having my prescription ready or "in-stock," it's been a nightmare dealing with this pharmacy. Additionally, the rest of the store is equally disappointing -- the self-check out system is plagued with problems and the front is usually understaffed. I'm thankful that I can take my business to a local independent pharmacy that (gasp) actuallys answers the phone and provides you with helpful information. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not casting all the blame on the employees, as I've heard that CVS as a company has burnt out their pharmacy staff by overworking them and not providing sufficient resources. Luckily in a free market, I can choose which businesses to give my money to and I'm glad that I don't have to give anymore of my hard earned money to CVS. CVS should read these reviews and think about the impact of a poor customer experience and how it impacts perception and LTV. I'm going to be spreading the word about Goldenseal Apothecary and for those out of the area, have them consider supporting a local independent pharmacy rather than the heartless corporation.

I was at the pharmacy and a very nice young man served me for my prescription. And I thought he deserves a good review. Good experience I had.

Nobody does the work they say they're going to do. They drop the ball every time. 0 accountability with terrible customer service. I have to call up almost every other day just to repeat my request of having the same scripts delivered that were promised to have been sent out a week ago then a week before that. They pass the blame around and NOBODY gets the actual task done. Extremely incompetent and unprofessional team. If you ever want to get your scripts in a timely fashion as "promised" by staff then you better call daily because I guarantee nobody even started the task. I've visited various CVS pharmacies all over the state (and out of state) for years and this one is by far the worst. It's truly frightening when you can't trust the word of the people in control of your body's important meds.

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. The pharmacy is always backed up due to incompetence. When I call I am lied to by the pharmacist. Back and forth 3 times to doctor only to find out pharmacist was lying. Never have the meds I need. She( pharmacist) says they are ordered, I ask if I can transfer script, can't be done she says. Another lie, then when I call, she hangs up on me. That pharmacy is incompetent. Other reviews prove that. I transferred everything to Walgreens, now all good.

The manager here, Christina, is the absolute worst manager ever. I have had nothing but problems since I started shopping here as I am frequently in the area these days. She has been questioning all of my rainchecks from other CVS', refusing to accept certain things, and refusing to write out rainchecks. She has no intention of taking care of her customers or trying to get to know customers that are frequently in her store. She doesn't even care about customer concerns in terms of the building and issues with items not in stock. Absolutely appalling. In addition, the store recently went through a remodel which was fine an all, but the amount of construction that occurred while the store was open and the number of products unavailable for a while was just unacceptable. The pictures I posted were just as the renovations were starting. I was going to attempt to take more pictures of the store (as I do with every establishment I review on Yelp, all to help people know more about the business before choosing to visit); however, I was told after taking pictures of multiple incorrect sale signs in the store and showing them to the manager (as they needed to be fixed) that taking pictures was strictly prohibited inside any CVS. So in being professional, I will abide by her "strict" policy. Then again, I will continue to take as many pictures as I want to inside any other CVS location regardless of what the manager here has to say. Again, just another "power trip" from this manager, Christina. I go to MANY MANY CVS locations and find them generally to be extremely coupon friendly or just downright nasty. This is by far, the WORST location out there. It's not even comparable to my local stores in Dedham, Newton, and Wellesley, all of which are over the moon in terms of friendliness, willingness to write out and accept rainchecks, and willing to work with their customers with coupons and make sure that the customers are satisfied. Isn't that the goal in retail? Certainly not in North Andover. The Andover location is decent if you need a somewhat decent CVS, but ALL of the CVS stores up here don't compare to any that I'm used to. They shouldn't be able to restrict how many CVS cards someone can use, especially if they don't restrict them at many many other locations. Again, throughout all FIFTEEN CVS stores in Newton (6), Wellesley (4), Dedham (3), and Needham (2), NONE have a problem with this. Christina seems so certain in all of the decisions she makes, as she is the expert for the entire CVS company, sorry but I'm going to listen to and follow the footsteps of the people working at my local stores..... much higher educated people where I'm from. Screw North Andover. I see there is another review from Yuliya G. who seems to have had a similar experience with Christina. I can certainly echo that she is extremely condescending! No intention at all to create / maintain good relationships with customers. Seems like a lot of the people from the north shore are condescending and don't understand customer service skills. Every time I step foot in here I consequently get the urge to send CVS Corporate an email restating how incredible other locations are. 1 star. Just to note, Kylee, Courtney, and Jenn are all super friendly, and I don't understand how they work for someone like Christina.

The incompetence and terrible customer service I have just experienced for over a week trying to obtain a prescription here is understatement. Go somewhere else for your scripts! The staff either lies on purpose or doesn't understand and either way probably don't want them handling drugs.

Where do I begin.... Grrrrrrrr : - ((( Each & every time I come here there's an issue of a negative nature. All I wanted to do after a long week at work was pick up an RX and pay the cop pay using a store merchandise card. It's really quite simple ... Alas, the transaction was anything but. The pharmacy tech who waited on.me seemed green, but nice enough. Things can change ... In processing the transaction she had absolutely no idea how to do so . She went and asked for help... Again, unable to process it. Finally after what was the third tutorial, she appeared to finish. I'd been waiting patiently for a very long time, but anyway. She gave me my receipt , mentioning I had a $1 coupon .. and my sealed bag with the RX. I pulled away and guess what.... No merchandise card , which had a sizable balance left was anywhere to be found. I then turned back, having to wait in a car line. After 4 cars, I explained and was told no.. you have to have the card. I was losing patience at this point & said, " I want the card back with the balance of $___ now." Showed the receipt reflecting the amount. Well.... Then I was told I'd have to go to the front of the store & they'd help me. My answer was No Chance. Phone the acting store manager. Apparently, she did but again I was told they would get me another & to pull my car over. I said - no, you have inconvenienced me enough & I've had enough. I'll wait here ( which was at the window) The tech got quite huffy & red-faced. I'll let you in on a secret... I was glad! Within minutes I had another card ( because they'd lost the original of course) with the correct balance. It took a ridiculous amount of time to complete what I had hoped would be just a simple transaction. Wrong!

I really like this branch of CVS. All the staff I've encountered have been super nice and helpful, they have a great selection of items, the coupons are good, and they're open 24 hours. What's not to like?

The girl working on the register, Christina, needs to learn some customer service skills. Very rude and condescending.

I've been filling prescriptions here for years. Unfortunately, we switched our insurance this year. What a shitshow. I called to update our insurance, the pharmacist said I couldn't do it over the phone, but could do it at the drive thru. So, I drove over, it was pouring. After a 28 minute wait with a sleeping toddler in rhe car, the person at the window said I had to come in because the line was too long. So I came in, got in line for ten minutes ans was then told I needed to go in another line. After 10 minutes in that line, I was told I could get back in the first line. 79 minutes later and I'm still waiting. Your customer service is atrocious. We are done with you.

I moved to town about six months ago and I should've known better than to come to this CVS, based on all of the negative reviews. I said to myself, these people must just be complainers. Boy was I wrong! This is absolutely the WORST CVS I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot throughout the state. It takes the pharmacy forever to fill prescriptions, the wait time in both the drive-thru and in-person line is absolutely horrendous, and the worst part is that neither the management nor staff seem to care one bit about providing strong customer service. If they did then they would've changed their ways by now because some of these reviews are years old. It's kind of a pain to switch prescriptions to a different pharmacy, but I'm going to do it---I just can't handle this place anymore. Do yourself a big favor and don't go to this CVS.
