It's great that a newton native set up a store. Sadly like other people have said, it seems to always be closed. Still, I feel if you call ahead you should find a time.

BEWARE: this place is in the business of selling fake nikes, and i'm assuming a number of other fake items from big brands. i wouldn't even give this place one star. i went in there about a year ago just to look around and i recognized a pair of shoes that my boyfriend wanted. i called him up and described the shoes to him. they were the nike whatthedunks, which are incredibly rare and go for between $800 & $1000. of course, we were both really excited because zape was selling them for $175 or so. we both thought that maybe these shoes were stored in the basement for some time and they were trying to get rid of them, not knowing their worth. i was going to buy them on the spot, but my boyfriend told me to hold off--he would come down from nh to see if they were real. in the mean time, he pulled up a list of things to look for when assessing whether shoes are real or fake. it should be noted that zape claimed they were real and were willing to have me drop nearly $200 on fakes. these shoes were clearly fake, but just to be sure, my boyfriend still came down from nh to check them out. when we got there, they seemed eager to make the sale, but he wasn't having any of it. he politely turned them down. in the car, he informed me that they were horrible quality and a shoe-buff could easily tell that they were not the real deal. a number of the other pairs of nikes they were selling were fake as well. needless to say, we were both pissed for wasting an afternoon. honestly, this place should be shut down. i'm posting this now because i just read a news clip about 6 stores in nh being shut down for selling fake merchandise. it's a shame zape isn't one of them. i guess this place could be good for people trying to LOOK like they're rolling with people who can actually afford these super-rare shoes, and for that, zape is great. but for the rest of us who probably don't want to be duped out of $200, my words to you are: avoid zape.

Is this place even open? I stopped by last month after checking their store hours online and the place was closed. It is currently stocked with clothing, but their vmail has a "christmas sale" message on it. Weird.
