Good post office, reliable service.

The reviews are probably based more on bad experiences on the delivery end. This office is straightforward and gets the job done. I wish USPS would invest and probably spruce up the place, similar to newer facilities I see in other areas of the country. This would probably make the space more inviting for staff and customers.Overall, I use USPS more than the other services. Prices in most cases are better and get to well traveled locations relatively quickly.

Rude associate. No customer service. So now we process all of the orders and mail on our own. No one answers the phone and who knows, maybe soon we will have to pay for delivering the mail ourselves.

Was dreading the visit given the reviews but honestly it was a wonderful experience even if you ignore low expectations. The lady at the counter was extremely helpful in suggesting the right box size, helpful in suggesting technique to fit my stuff into the box, and overall just extreme patient with a guy who was entering USPS premises after nearly 20 years. Thank you ma’am !

Interesting little PO at the corner of Comm Ave and Melrose St, I think the word I am looking for is "nondescript" for the building itself. PO is on the first floor, there is a small parking lot on one side with exit onto Melrose St. I only needed to drop off a small package with a paid label on it, and the box to put packages in said "letters only". I went in and the guy in front of me was dropping off something he had received by mistake (pretty nice, most people would probably just toss it out) and I handed my package to the nice woman at the counter. She was very nice, gave me a receipt so I could track it and off I went. If you were to go here during the holidays - or to get your envelope postmarked on April 15 - the line would probably be out the door since it is a tiny space, but arrive early or go to another location (that probably will not have free parking).

Watch out! Verbally abusive postal clerk! I have never been to a post office that didn't have drop off service for prepaid packages. When I arrived at the post office there was no prepaid drop box in the hallway. There was a long line of people waiting in line to do business that involved clerk services. As is the custom in every other post office that I have frequented, I politely excused myself as I went to drop my package off at the counter. Suddenly the big burly male clerk shouted at me yelling about how I had Cut the line. I politely explained that my package was prepaid and I was leaving it on the counter as I was the protocol in Newtonville. The clerk snarked at me saying "Well this isn't Newtonville". I was so shocked and offended by his raging, disproportionate response to my mistake that I snatched my package and turned to leave. I didn't intend to but was so upset that I shouted "F" YOU, on my way out the door. I am embarrassed by my blurted response. However, I have NEVER been treated so abusively. That clerk has no business working with the public!

This office has lost my package on several occasions esp after moving. During the Covid times, they didn't even take a customer's signature and handed the package off to who knows~ I get is part of protocol to not interact but at least it would make sense to leave a signable note on the doors so that people can pick them up from the office. The first time it was discovered that the package was delievered to the wrong address, the second time package was likely miss-delievered as I didn't receive it and it was a high value item that I can no longer be compensated for. The third time it was supposed to be forwarded to my new home address, but instead it was "disposed of". I lived in Auburndale for a long time, but in the last few years the quality of the service here and decisions made have gone down hill.Update*My insurance claim got denied and since writing this review.... USPS has not been helpful in finding my package or helping me with the claim. Cannot imagine how much of an impact this must have on the economy if all the local USPS shops are just tossing things out and sending them to the wrong places during covid..... Not taking a signature should be a serious offense, someone paid to have a signature signed.... Without proper signage a package would end up in the wrong hands... at least leave a note saying to pick it up at the post or something..... this whoever came up with the covid signing protocol was a real dingus.... Rip $1000s of equipment...

The agent I spoke with was rude, unhelpful and had no sense of urgency. I'm pretty disappointed and hope not all of them are like that :(

I'm sorry but an 8:30AM opening time on weekdays seems lazy. Every other post office is open by 8, some by 7:30. Would really be helpful to be open as everyone's morning starts.
