Our daughter has had an amazing experience at the Children's Coop, we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to school-based learning for her. The directors and teachers are compassionate, thoughtful, kind, and energetic and foster excellent communication between families and the school. The community is supportive and enthusiastic, and the program is truly tailored to the children's interests and personalities. Parents and caregivers are involved and welcoming, and younger siblings form bonds through events and play long before they become classmates. We plan to send our younger children to the Coop, and are grateful to have found this nurturing environment for our kids where they have blossomed.

The Children's Coop is an amazing preschool with wonderful, creative, nurturing teachers who really care about and love your children. My son thrived in his classroom and still talks about the Coop even though he's moved on to kindergarten. We loved being an active part of the classroom, getting to know my child's friends, and meeting other parents with similar parenting goals. There really is no other place like the Coop!

The Children’s Coop is a warm and wonderful preschool! The teachers are very experienced, and engaged, and encourage children to learn through play. The school also has a wonderful natural outdoor play space which they make great use of all year round. The school has a welcoming and involved parent community too. Our eldest child started there shortly after we arrived in Newton and we quickly felt part of the local community in large measure thanks to the connections we made at the preschool. Both our children loved their time and the Coop and forged great friendships with children that continue today. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to their school based education than the Coop, and highly recommend it!

Both of my daughters attended the Children's Coop, and couldn't have loved it more. The teachers are creative, passionate, talented educators who truly love children. The play-based curriculum is interdisciplinary, hands-on, and thoughtful. No preschool worksheets here! Children also have specialists for yoga, music, and sports, and regular visits from a Newton librarian. Finally, the parent community is engaged, community-oriented, and fun. We love the Coop.

Children’s Cooperative is a unique and wonderfully nurturing school that supports families as a whole along with the children lucky enough to attend there. My sons benefited enormously from the guidance and opportunities to expand their development on so many levels. We were very happy to be a part of it and see it happening! The younger class experiences individual social, emotional and cognitive growth and as they learn to function in a group. The older class continues along that continuum with greater expectations and much more independence—they will be ready to meet the world with great skills and confidence! Respect and resiliency are words that come to mind as I reflect on their years in attendance. A sense of wonder and excitement about learning is fostered by this experienced, creative, warm and caring staff. The top-knotch natural playground provides endless possibilities for open-ended fun. The Coop is a win- win for parents and children!

Our son has absolutely thrived at this preschool. Not only has it been a fabulous school for him, it also has been a fabulous community for us (his parents). To be so involved in my son's first school experience has truly been special. The teachers are creative, loving, and caring individuals.

Prepares children for life (and kindergarten) by emphasizing the social/emotional foundations that create well-adjusted, kind, empathetic young people. I was scared about a CoOp, thinking it would be too kumbaya for my husband and me. But I've come to understand how unbelievably critical it is for the children to have parents in the classroom both in terms of teaching the children what trusted adults look like as well as creating a culture of accountability among the parents/families--on some level, *all* of the CoOp kids are 'my' kids.
