Great store all around. The selection of sneakers is great…they don’t carry cheap shoes and you can be confident your feet will thank you with really any of the sneakers. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Been in a few times and found something comfortable and stylish every time.

Went to this store specifically to buy a pair of Hoka sneakers which are quite expensive and wanted to know which model would work best for me. The staff were so rude and condescending I decided to take my business elsewhere. Don't give your money to these jerks!

I asked if a particular model (which I was wearing at the time) of Brooks sneakers was in stock. The manager rudely told me that my model is cheap and he'd never carry it. I explained that I've had multiple surgeries and wear orthotics, and that this has been the most comfortable shoe for me, and that I'm just looking to replace it with new ones. He was dismissive and told me that I must've bought mine at DSW where Brooks sends their cheap models. Then he walked away. Unnecessary comment and terrible customer service. I won't return.

Missed the return window and kindly asked if store credit was possible. The woman was rude and replied, "Yeah, by like... Since January, let me check". Rolls her eyes and takes the shoes. Returns with the shoes, "we can't take this, we don't have it anymore."Totally fine if you can't accommodate and I'm well aware of the date, but the snarky comment was unnecessary. Other staff members were watching me as I left. Quite an uncomfortable experience ?✌️

Poor customer service. Never buy here again. Purchased a pair of On shoes in late February. The back of the inside broke after two weeks. When presented the shoes the manager said I was putting on incorrectly and refused to provide a copy of the order.

Store manager Brendan Carrigan helped me find some shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis, and they worked really well. Better than my $400 orthotic insert from a podiatrist.

The shoes are five stars, but many of the staff are one star. Some people are nice if you get lucky, but many are gruff and feign knowledge that they don’t actually have.

I had an unpleasant experience with a staff member at this store. While shopping and doing my own price comparison, this older bald male staff member approached me and told me I was being rude and offensive by comparing prices to other online retailers. I was actually going to purchase these (over $200) shoes from this store for $10 more than this online retailer to support this business, but instead I left. Though I appreciate this employee’s frustration that customers enter their store, try shoes on but choose not to buy. It is the customer’s RIGHT to compare prices to competitors. I feel this employee could have found a more tactful way to express his opinion, a kinder approach, instead of being angry. I have purchased multiple pairs of shoes at this location over the years and I will no longer be doing so.

This store is run by employees who are bullies, and a store owner who condones it and participates. Because of this, and because there is not a pair of shoes in the place that is under $100, I have no explanation as to why these people are still in business. My experience there was nothing short of bizarre. I went in last weekend to shop for a pair of shoes. I was ready to buy several pairs if I found ones that were comfortable. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for about a year and a half and it's very hard for me to find shoes, so I was excited to go to a place that carried so many supportive brands. I made a stack of about seven boxes of shoes that I liked and started to try them on. A male employee came up to me- I thought maybe to help it to ask how I was doing but no- and said in a snide voice, "So I'm just curious, you know that employees have to put the shoeboxes away, so why do you get so many pairs to try on? Why don't you just try one on and then put it back?" I said, I needed to try on a lot of pairs because I have foot problems. I was also going to explain to him that it was my birthday, and I planned to treat myself to several pairs, that's why I had so many choices. But he interrupted me and said, "yeah yeah yeah we all have foot problems, but why do you have to do this? I'm just curious." Honestly, it was so odd and inappropriate- before I realized he was an employee, based on the confrontational way that he was speaking to me as a total stranger, at first it made me wonder if he was somebody with mental illness. When I realized that he was actually an employee, speaking to me as a customer, I was shocked and intimidated, but then I remembered that nobody has the right to speak to someone that way. So I took a deep breath and said, "you know, sir, I actually don't think you're curious. I think you're berating me in public and telling me how to shop at your store when I've been coming here for years. I always put my boxes away, and I have spent hundreds of dollars here. so what exactly are you trying to achieve?" He seemed surprised that I wasn't just cowering, and he eventually walked away. I asked another guy to direct me to a manager, and he told me that he was the owner. Before I could start to tell him what happened, he cut me off and said, "yeah, my employee already explained what happened,." His tone was totally condescending and he started boxing up my shoes, which I was not yet done trying on, as he was talking at me. I told him that I've been a loyal customer for years, and how much what his employee did upset me, and he condescendingly brushed it off, and was like, "I see that you are very upset by this, I've already apologized, if you don't want to shop here anymore, that's your prerogative." I've never been treated so rudely in my life, and I never plan to step foot in here again. To top it all off, it was my birthday, and I left so embarrassed that I was shaking and crying. I've seen a lot of reviews on here that mention this kind of customer service experience, and I just cannot understand why somebody trying to sell things thinks that they can treat people like this.

My family has been shopping at The Barn for 60 years, possibly longer and I have always had great luck finding shoes, sandals, boots & even clothes on occasion. Not only was the selection great but the service/help being fit and or selecting a shoe was always outstanding. My how times have changed. I took my elderly mom in a few days ago and it likely will be the last time. The owner was edgy, quick, rude and extremely unhelpful. Whipping boxes on and off shelve, sliding cartons, and had such a BAD ATTITUDE. I have a VERY high tolerance for people and as a small business owner myself give people the benefit of the doubt but his demeanor continued to be nasty the entire time we were there. I felt horrible for my mom who was having a hard time finding a shoe that didn't hurt her toes and I could tell she was getting uncomfortable by his manner. If he doesn't have patience to work with elderly people or people with difficult feet he should either pass the job on to someone else in the store or find a new business to be in. I have never written a bad review for anything or anyone - but this experience was beyond upsetting.
