**Disappointing Experience with Gel X Nails and Pedicure**
I recently visited this nail salon with high expectations, opting for Gel X nails with chrome, which included an extra $10 charge. Unfortunately, my three-hour visit turned into a regrettable experience.
From the start, the nail technician began painting my nails without consulting me about the desired length. The situation escalated when the electric buffer was used, causing me significant pain on three separate occasions.
Despite expressing my desire for shorter nails, the end result was far from satisfactory. The nails looked unnatural, and the overall quality of the work was disappointing. Spending $140 for a torturous experience and subpar results is simply unacceptable.
I expected better communication, professionalism, and attention to detail, especially considering the additional charge for chrome. Sadly, my experience fell far short of these expectations. I hope others can make informed decisions based on this review.

My recent visit to Joie de Vie left me so disappointed with the services they provided. I always try to be understanding because no one is perfect but their attitude lacks so much professionalism and basic manners. They also rush your manicures, don’t sterilize or use new instruments with different customers. If you mention something even in the kindest way possible, they give you attitude and no longer make you feel welcome. There’s only one girl that really knows what she’s doing and she sits in the back. Other than that, this is what they call a professional manicure.

The woman who answers the phone and did my nails was extremely rude, brushing me off, after I had given a good tip. The work was reasonable - but I do not like being treated this way.Services: Dip powder

Appointments here are meaningless, I had an appointment for a 1 pm pedicure and someone finally started it 40 minutes later. They take every walk-in, and just keep people waiting without explanation. The manager / owner is pretty rude, it's obvious that they are just trying to get as many people in and out without it being a pleasant experience. I will not be returning.

Been going for years Set up nicely for pandemic. A hint of normalcy, prices went up and less product used was a bit disappointed. Still I go back, owner remembers us every time we go. I really appreciate that. After covid, I hope they go back to using all products for pedicures.

Ive only been there twice and today was my second time but I was really unhappy with the service. The lady that was doing my nails was helping out another customer while doing my gel. She also cut the skin around my nail bed and left me bleeding. It’s been 6 hrs now and my hands still sting from all the cuts she made on the skin near my cuticles. I just wish I didn’t pay $58 for that service.

Salon Joie De Vie is a wonderful shop. Clean, professional and friendly - it's always a pleasant experience! My nails always look beautiful and I never leave disappointed.

I'm conflicted.the salon manicurists are typically skilled and very good. But today was the last straw. I had an appointment on this busy Saturday. After waiting a good 20 minutes I was told to "pick a color". Figuring I was next to get a polish, I sat alone for another 20 minutes. Finally I was seated at the manicure table, when my manicurist got up and went to the table behind me and painted someone else's nails while I sat there and watched! With no apology or anything, the manicurist came back, and removed my polish, and got up again to do someone else's nails. I was waiting for the cameras telling me this was a joke. My patience worn thin after two hours of a still unfinished job, I finally left. I am a regular customer, who tips big and comes often. But I will never be back. The greed to service too many customers by the salon owner will ultimately result in losing most of us. More than half the people sitting there today will never be back. Shame shame. Sad.

I love coming here! The staff is always pleasant. The place is clean! Lynn and Hannah are the best! I’m always happy leaving here and i’m a hard client to please! They know exactly what I like and take the time to get it right! Thank you guys
