Alon changed my life for the better. I had a bad reaction to medication and lost almost all of my hair. I almost accepted the fact that I would be ugly for months, maybe years, until I had a consultation with him. He gave me beautiful extensions that make me feel feminine and confident. He also worked with me on my budget, and undercharged me: he even included his tip into the price at the end. I wanted to tip him millions, but he knew I couldn't, and said he was happy to have met and helped me. He is someone who you feel comfortable talking to about the embarrassing issue of hair loss. I owe him so much! He is located in Newton, and is more than helpful - he is healing.

THE BEST of THE BEST, I have worst Curley hair ever Alone cut and colored my hair to love it,,,,,, I have never in 38 years loved my hair!! If you want to look and feel your best go to see Alone,,,,, worth every penny and then some!!!

Alon is great! He takes the time to talk to you about everything regarding your hair. He asked me how much time I like to take in the morning, what I like to do with my hair, what my favorite hairstyle was, etc. He was great. He also spent the time to get my hair color just right and seriously removed (what felt like) pounds of hair from my head. If you want it done right, go to Alon.

Alon is unbelievable. I have been to every hair stylist and barber ever - he is the best. I love my hair and am very attentive to it, especially the smallest details. I have been everywhere and had some bad cuts, okay cuts and somewhat decent cuts... Alon is second to none, if you haven't seem him yet I hope you don't because then I would never get an appointment... Honestly!

Newton's best kept secret. Alon could easily run his salon in Manhattan or Paris. Thank goodness he's right here in Newton. He is the finest hairdresser I've ever worked with. Indeed, I have seen him since I was a teenager. He is an expert colorist. He is a perfectionist and you will leave his salon, feeling younger, prettier and lighter. Love this guy! He's the best!

I have alopecia and wear a wig. My wig was starting to fray at the ends and look a little ratty, as wigs often do, so I went on a mission to find a local salon that does wig cuts. By doing a bit of Googling I stumbled upon Salon Alon, located in Newton Center. As a wig wearer I always expect a flinch from hair stylists but Alon was completely comfortable cutting and styling wigs and was happy to accept the task. The salon was private which was nice and Alon was very creative and welcoming. I came for a trim but Alon went out of his way to show me how to fit the wig properly and to recommend products that would help keep it in good shape. I will be honest, when he quoted me $115 for the cut I almost passed out. I spent $60 on the wig so why the hell would I spend so much on the cut? But, I gave in and he spent nearly 2 hours making my wig not only look brand new but was able to customize it to my needs; he cut the bangs perfectly, took out some of the layers so I wouldn't constantly sweat, and by the end of the appointment it looks like my own hair. Worth every penny, I highly recommend Salon Alon!
