Waiting for more that 4hr in ER with a sick 10 month old. The system is broken, it should be unacceptable to wait this long and charge thousands of dollars for this kind of work.

The room service (food) staff does not care if you have a baby as a patient. The will not deliver food to the room if you are a parent of a baby and the doctor has not yet advised the patient to take food by mouth. So you just have to "figure it out" is what was said on the phone. It looks the only option if you are the care giver of the baby is to starve as long as you are in the hospital. The room service staff was rude and we're unwilling to help.

This regional hospital used to be quite good pre-pandemic. Unfortunately the level of knowledgeable and personal service and responsiveness has declined considerably over the past 12-18 months. It’s not too late to turn things around assuming the administration, department heads, and associated physicians are interested in doing just that, otherwise it is mediocrity at its finest.

The ER is grossly understaffed. Came on the advice of the doctor. My poor daughter is sitting here in horrible pain since 2:00 am and it’s now 9:41 am and still no sign of being seen.Medical gaslighting describes a behavior in which a physician or other medical professional dismisses or downplays a patient’s physical symptoms or attributes them to something else, such as a psychological condition. Medical gaslighting is especially likely to happen to women and people of color.Update: March 18, 2024 She finally passed a good size Kidney stone that she was told she didn’t have!Matrix stones are a rare form of urinary calculi with a low mineral content. We report a 63-year-old female patient who presented to the Sohar Hospital, Sohar, Oman, in 2018 with unexplained left flank pain and constipation. She had a history of chronic renal failure (CRF) and had previously undergone haemodialysis (HD). Non-contrast computed tomography (CT) did not show any renal or urinary stones. However, a left-sided ureteroscopy revealed a yellow-coloured stone that was soft in consistency occupying the proximal 5 cm section of the ureter. Many attempts at forceps extraction were required for complete clearance. A global quantitative composition analysis revealed the extracted stone to be composed entirely of protein-matrix material. Matrix stones require a high index of suspicion as they are sometimes radiolucent and cannot be visualised on CT scans. Risk factors include being female and a history of urinary tract infections, CRF and HD.

These bird-brained caregivers do more harm than good. I came to their ED weak, short of breath and with both calves swollen to 9-inch diameter. They put me in a room that has the thermostat set to 55, hoping I will perish. They totally botched the IV insertion. I've been here now three full hours and received zero treatment. They won't answer any of my questions. They don't respond to my pressing the call button. I see them out there all sitting at the nurses station, just chit-chatting. All they care about is their own aggrandisement ...and moulah.

I wish there is a negative rating system on Google review. I ran to the ER @ newton wellesley hospital due toi nfection. I waited in ER for hours and discharged and the PA told me she will prescribe antibiotics, which is the standard procedure. The next day, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my medication, and the CVS told me they've never received any prescription. I called the ER, they told me my medical note only has one dose of antibiotic. I understand that my case is not the most urgent one, but how can a PA forget to write and send a prescription?

Do not bring your child here. They should be allowed to tend to children. Horrible care.

Staff isn’t organized. Two separate people came in trying to take my blood as well as inject my iv not realizing i’d done both. A doctor who was doing my concussion scan was ripping at my earring with long acrylic nails trying to take it off and my ear is now swollen. Some of their staff should not work with people. This hospital also doesn't have enough rooms or staff to accommodate everyone in a timely manner.

I waited for over 9 hours in the emergency room. All I needed was my medication for depression. I've been depressed since I was 14 years old. My primary care physician (PCP) left the hospital, and I was left without one. I needed the medication because this morning I was already feeling terrible with suicidal thoughts. But they left me there waiting for 9 hours because they considered my case less important and prioritized other patients. I couldn't eat or drink anything. My phone battery died, so I couldn't even order food. I left, and the receptionist laughed at me when I told her that the next day I might end my own life because I depend on that medication to live. I will never ever go in this place!

The emergency room is a complete joke, I was sent by my PC for kidney stones. Have been sitting in the waiting room for 8 hours!!!! Just to be shoved to another waiting room this place is worthless. If you want yourself or family to have a fighting chance definitely don't take them to this hospital!

I arrived with my husband, experiencing severe headaches, jaw pain, swollen lips, and neck discomfort. However, the woman at the check-in desk showed no concern and merely questioned the extent of our swollen lips. She handed us a brace and dismissively told us to leave. Dissatisfied with the treatment, we decided to seek care elsewhere. Before departing, I requested to be removed from the list, to which she responded with a disrespectful "WHATEVER!"

The worst hospital ive ever seen. My mother had a back injury and she suffered sever pain we came to the hospital at 7:30 pm. I asked how long will it take her to be seen by a doctor they said the wait time is 8-10 hours !!!!!!! I asked for Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen and the nurses refused and they told me we can give any of these, if you cant tolerate the pain leave!!!! People r rude, unprofessional and their is a mess ER. At 3 am next day i spoke to a nurse and she said of course we can give painkillers and we can do the xray while she is waiting. So they misled us and made my mother suffer for more than 7 hrs

Great hospital staff and the nurses are terrific! Under the new management of the Mass General community of services, makes this hospital one of the best in New England.I only wish that the parking wasn’t so expensive- my last parking fee was $35!
