Had an appointment with Chelsea last week for a cut, which I have been putting off for far too long. She did an amazing job and I am extremely pleased with the results. I will be back! Highly recommend this salon.

I have been a client of this hair salon for decades! I now live an hour and half from Newton Ma but still have a color and cut at Louis Du Gal's. The owners are so professional, the salon spotless with changing and artsy decor, and their skills unmatched by other salons!Services: Hair coloring

I have been going to the Louis DuGal Salon off and on for several years. I love the owners (they're dogs) and all of the hairdressers. I was given a gift certificate to another Newton salon and decided to try it to cut my very thick and long hair into a short cut. I had pictures, and explained exactly what I didn't want. The hairdresser was very nice and friendly but she DID exactly what I didn't want and it became the #1 worst haircut I've ever had. I waited a month and called Louis DuGal. I spoke to Chelsea and shared that I needed my cut reshaped. She booked me right away. Chelsea took one look at the pictures I had and then checked my hair out carefully. She asked me a few question and then got to work. Not even a half hour later, she transformed my SHORT hairstyle. That is not easy to do when it is as short as my hair was. I am so thankful and appreciative, best believe, I'll be going back to Chelsea so as to never relive the trauma of the past experience!

The warm and inviting atmosphere is unique but most importantly is the talent. Chelsea is my amazing stylist! I have very challenging hair and she has met the challenge each and every time I see her! And beyond talented with cut and color she say beautiful human being inside out and so much fun!I have a different head of hair since I started seeing Chelsea. I’m not sure what I did without her to be quite honest ?

High marks for ease of making an appointment and excellent hair washing. Bangs were cut too short and very uneven and a section of hair cut shorter on one side than the other.
