I have been going to Knits & Pieces for over 25 years and have so many wonderful projects! Irina is amazing at creating any pattern you can think of, fix any mistakes you make and walk you through what you don’t know. Can’t recommend enough!!!

Knits and Pieces is a beautiful gem of a store in Newton Upper Falls. Irina is an amazing sweater designer and knitting teacher. She can design a sweater just for you and then show you how to knit it. Or, you can bring in a pattern and she will help you. Her experience as a knitter is extremely impressive. She also does invisible repair on knitted garments if, for example, you have a moth hole in a sweater. The shop itself is lovely. It’s cozy, well-lit and carries a fabulous selection of yarn arranged by color. I’ve been to every yarn store in this area and can say without exception that Irina at Knits and Pieces is the best!

I have been to this shop a few times. I never write reviews, but I really wanted to let everyone know how great my experience has been. I have gone into the store when I have run into issues with a project or wanted an honest opinion of what I could do better and Inira could not be more helpful. She is thorough and honest without being "mean" or making me feel looked down upon when she brings up areas for improvement. Can't speak highly enough of this service.The shop has a beautiful selection of yarns available and Inira also writes patterns. I am eyeing a mitered square sweater she created for a future project. Just beautiful. Thanks so much Inira! Will be back.

This looks like a super cute yarn store but I drove all the way over to find that it is currently only open by appointment (nov. 2021) - so if you’re going call ahead. I’ll do this next time, but just so newcomers are aware :-). Really cute location!
