Let me tell you- Lauren Brooks is a breath of fresh air. She is accommodating, kind, compassionate, and has the eye for good bones in a home. Me and wife were first time home buyers. We were a bit anxious going into this process based on some of the things we saw on the internet and heard from our friends. We spent quite some time researching on how to select an agent. Then we “interviewed” a select few and Rachel absolutely stood out from the pool with domain knowledge combined with a large dose of humor. Next onto actual house tours, she would send out a small list of potential candidates each week so that we could potentially tour these on weekends. And it did not take Rachel long to narrow down what we were looking for. I am the type of person with lots of questions and curiosities. And Rachel got the patience and knowledge to address all my questions. A couple of times even when she was away, she created a backup plan in case we wanted to tour or bid a house. Now to the house(we eventually won), 1) open house 2) able to arrange a short pre inspection quickly 3) in the bidding process, Rachel was able to obtain information that was crucial in the pricing process. 4) afterwards, did a few house visits 5) lastly closing 6) list of contacts such as lender, contractors, handyman, etc…From start to finish, Rachel was extremely impressive(overachieving) I do not recall a single time where she could not answer a question. A couple of times we still toured houses even though she knew that was not what I wanted. Every single step along the way, she was there and was extremely helpful. Could not have asked for a better agent. She made this experience very pleasant, smooth and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone.

Update: response is a lie …. Bob had texted us using the wrong name but same first letter. We confirmed our names and made sure he knew who he was speaking to and he said said yes and confirmed we’d have the lease to sign Monday …. Poor attempt for an excuseToured a property with Bob and we loved it. Applied and Bob told us that we were approved, he was away on vacation for the weekend so he’d send over the lease to sign on Monday (2 days later). We closed out our search and withdrew our application from other properties.On Monday, we hadn’t heard anything from Bob. After emailing, calling and texting him we finally heard back the next day stating that someone else applied with a sooner move-in date so they’d be getting the property.We were super excited about the home, so we said we’d move in on the same date as them and he didn’t respond.Completely unprofessional, lacked communication and transparency and really put us in a tough situation as we were nearing the end of our lease and had been told we were approved/ready to sign this lease so we had to scramble to figure something out.

I worked with Rachel to buy our new home this past year. She was very patient with us and went to many open houses until we found the perfect home. Then she helped us sell our wonderful condo and again was the best to work with. I’ve used Rachel now for 2 purchases and 3 sales over the last 13 years and each time could not have gone better. Needless to say she’s the best and I HIGHLY recommend her.

Rachel made the ENTIRE house buying experience one of the easiest things we did in the middle of a pandemic, with a toddler, and in a highly competitive market. She was personable and took the time to answer our many questions. From securing our mortgage to dealing with all the things that come with owning a home, Rachel was there to help us along the way. Her ability to visualize what a space could become is greatly appreciated.

We worked with Rachel Foy and she was a fantastic partner in our search for our first home! I have known Rachel Hillman Foy for many years, and have sent her multiple clients as I knew she would do an amazing job with them.Recently, I contacted her regarding selling my home.As background research, I also compared 3 other realtors and found that all the others were so stuck in a particular point of view that they literally were of no help to me. My house was idiosyncratic, and each of the other realtors could only see how it wasn't what it should be - according to them! Each of the other realtors gave me either ridiculous or plainly wrong advice about how to "improve" my home to ready it for sale.After that experience, I knew that Rachel was the realtor for me:Rachel understood my home's value and made sure that we got a very good price when we sold, which we did in mere hours!Rachel was upfront, honest and totally responsive.I have to say that what is a stressful experience no matter what, was made much less stressful by Rachel. I called her multiple times to ask questions, check in, get calmed down, and Rachel was there every single time with good cheer and good advice.She was helpful throughout the entire process and even recommended a mover for our interstate move who was excellent.Rachel from Hillman Homes did a stellar job for us!
