My wife and I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the magic touch of Melissa, a massage therapist at Equinox Chestnut Hill. Despite not being a member of the gym, my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a rejuvenating massage session at this Chestnut Hills location due to its convenient location for us, and we are glad we did! From the moment we walked in, Melissa's warm and welcoming demeanor put us at ease. She took the time to listen attentively to our preferences and any specific areas of tension we wanted her to focus on. Despite only having one session with her, it felt like she had known our bodies for years.Melissa's technique was nothing short of exceptional. She expertly kneaded away our stress and tension, leaving us feeling utterly relaxed and rejuvenated. Her attention to detail and ability to personalize the experience truly set her apart. My wife and I are opposites when it comes to what we deem to be a good massage, and we both walked out thinking it was the best massage we have ever gotten. What truly stood out about Melissa was her genuine passion for her craft. It was evident that she takes immense pride in her work, and her dedication to providing the best possible experience for her clients was noticeable. My wife and I both agreed that Melissa is hands down the best massage therapist we have ever had the pleasure of encountering. If you're in need of a massage that leaves you feeling like a brand new person, look no further than Melissa.

Very inexperienced moves and the employees did not allow me to exercise for only 1 hour, they turned me away from the door, this is not bodybuilding, I was not allowed to train for 1 hour as a guest because I could not afford to pay.

Was great now okay. First the people staff/trainers/members are great. Can definitely make some friends and the staff and nice and try to help. Classes are great - definitely recommended Precision Run. If a machine is taken people are usually really happy to let you get a set in when they rest. However cleanliness has gone down a bit. When I started end of April it was great and the locker rooms and showers were spotless, as one would expect for this level of club. Over the past couple of months the showers have green and reddish slime or something and the sink and stall area is not as clean. The store is closed almost every time I visit. I guess it’s only open 8-2 (staffing issues I assume). And there’s no fresh juice bar - just an open fridge and snack area. So some of the amenities that I expected with Equinox are either not here but still show that they were or are not up to standard - even for a regular club/gym. The floor of the club and locker areas however have kept up being really clean which is nice. Also if I’m to be the pickest person in the world the stair accent lighting is cool white while the rest of the club is neutral/near warm lighting. Also more black out shades and color LEDs in the PR room would be awesome.

Worst experience I had with booking a spa appointment. Their staff from the first attempt made mistake in booking a session with a recommended professional, then I patiently worked with the then general manager to fix the appointment. Little that I know, a chain of bookings happened without my knowledge and I turned into a ghost in their system, like I’m purposefully booking and not showing up. Not only Equinox leadership did not honor trail of mistakes they made, they are blaming me for missing multiple appointments for a single complementary session!! and they are making me pay for that complementary session. They treat me as I’m purposefully lying over $100 when I’m paying $600 every month for three memberships!!! What a leadership…

The men's locker room in the shower area and steam room have a very moldy smell. I have heard people talk about this for a few years and it has never improved. For me, I will not use the steam due to this. It smells like mold or a dry drain. The staff seem to not care about this. Otherwise it is a nice.

I've been a member of Equinox for about 5 years now, and I've loved it from the start. The comprehensive package they offer is really what sets them apart from other gyms.First of all, the facilities are top-notch. The equipment is state-of-the-art, and the clubs are always clean and well-maintained. There's something for everyone, whether you're into cardio, strength training, or group classes. In addition to the great facilities, Equinox also offers a wide range of amenities. There's a spa, pool, and even a juice bar. You can also get personal training or nutrition coaching if you want.

today , April 19, 2023 I swam at this club. I paid $50.00 for a daily usage , unfortunately the pool was so cloudy I could not see the bottom. I told the front desk and their response was " thanks for letting us know- would you like a follow email " As I said I'm here for the day.

I like this spot - It's what you can expect of an Equinox, expect there is not a store at this location. Work out, hang out in the lounge, snacks / drinks can be bought off an iPad.

Just a bad experience all around. Staff is great, just a very uncomfortable experience that this company has curated...

I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone not family, not coworkers, not friends! I wouldn't recommend this gym to Corporate businesses looking for give their workers benefits. I would recommend LifeTime Fitness as an alternative, great atmosphere, family friendly, wealth of resources has everything in one place.

I love this gym. I joined in July and i go all types of day and night.. usually in the am though. Even on crowded days its not that crowded. Showers are clean as i shower there more than home now. I love the steam room. All machines and benches are in good shape. Only thing they are missing is a kitchen as they still don't have that yet like they mentioned would take over that spot soon. Also, the mannequins in the front can go its weird..they need a better little intro setup there but its minor. WiFi is decent ...i notice drops in the locker room more than out on the floor. The trainers and staff are all pretty laid back and chill. The JP shakes are nice too.
