I’d like to echo one of the reviewer’s comment, one of persons who works there, a short non-white woman, is very rude against non-white customers. I knew this from my own experience years ago, and only now read the review from others and realize I am no alone. Why did I feel she is against non-white customers? Years ago, I went in to pick up online order, she stood next to the assistant who’s helping me, whispering to her ears with instructions, obviously did not want me to hear her, which seemed extremely rude, and a bit weird. This happened on two separate occasions, so I do not think they were innocent occurrences. That’s when I noticed she treated customers who were white much more pleasantly. So, I’ve been avoiding the store whenever she is around.Recently, I was in the store looking at an item (did not see her in the store when I went in). All of the sudden she came up from behind and told me to put it down, she said I should not have picked up this item because it’s part of the display, she then waved her hand to the shelves next to her, told me to look there, but when I looked carefully, the item I was looking at was not on the shelves she pointed, that’s when I realized she didn’t care to help customer, she just wanted to exert her authority.I will keep buying Eileen Fisher clothes as I’ve been doing so for years, but I’d advise non-white customers to shop somewhere else.

The customer service is unfortunately really poor. I tried to call to ask about an order I had shipped there, and they nearly hung up on me. After asking them to please wait and hear my question they told me there were customers in the store and they couldn’t help me! I hope it’s better in person.

Very poor customer service. They are fine if you just want to try on clothes but most of their attitudes are very poor and the customer is always wrong. I won't get into the details but let's just say I will be avoiding this location. Given how expensive their clothes are they should teach their staff 1) how to handle problems that arise and at least be educated about their delivery services and 2) how to be polite to customers. You're better off going to a department store to buy EF.

wow these reviews here seem like a tirade against the store... I am sorry but it is not completely believable. I have been shopping there for ages, there is never a long line to the cashier, cloths are never wrinkled... I wonder whats going on here? a nice store, I am not American but treated fine .

There is one sales person who is responsive and not prissy. I shop there and always find that I am ignored.

Not alot to choose from, youth section was slim, may as well drive to another clothes store. They need more of a variety!

The store manager Dava Silvia is very rude and impolite .If you are from different country you are treated there differently. If you are not American or your skin is not white don't even think going to this store.

I recently shopped in the Eileen Fisher store in Chestnut Hill Mall (Newton, MA) and it was the WORST Eileen Fisher experience I have ever had (and I was wearing EF brand all over). The FOUR saleswomen have NOT acknowledged me at all and never left huddling together talking away to each other standing right there in the middle of the store. Not once during the rest of the time I spent there (15 minutes or so) they even look around or offered any help. They were still gabbing when I left. FOUR clerks. Awful service. Horrible, rude women. I will never go back. Never.

Love EF clothing but staff could do with some customer service training. True for the Outlet as well. What's up with the attitude? Borders on rudeness.

I read the reviews and I agreed with some , I have been in this location and find customer service almost invisible BUT I really wanted a particular outfit (and it was on sale) so in I went...to my surprise I had the best customer service experience ever!! The sales associate was completely attentive to my needs: bringing items to me in the fitting area looking online for items not in this location ordering/shipping the exact items I wanted So, please don't give up and enjoy this shop and staff.

Absolutely ridiculous store, bought a bunch of merchandize yesterday, check the receipt and realized they charge me twice on a item...call the store and they Said with courtesy that I have to go into the store and get a credit...well, 10 mins wait for cashier and 25 mins to get approval. R u kidding me..no way I will shop here again

A lot of the clothes here are wrinkled which does not encourage me to buy the clothing. I saw many clothes that I liked here, but the quality was missing thus I didn't purchase the items that I wanted. Upon close examination, the stitching of the clothing is awful. The material of the clothes (especially the t-shirts and v-necks) is also very thin; it feels as if it could rip easily. I won't come back to this again
