Complete incompetence, unprofessional, rude, and understaffed. Was told I needed to wait over an hour to chat with a banker when I was the only one waiting in line. So many back and forths between the woman at the front desk and her manager who hid behind a door in the back office for easy to answer questions too.

I had a wonderful experience at this branch. They helped me with my initial need and went above and beyond when it came to customer service.

Worst branch I have ever been to. No service at all. All bankers and tellers there pretend to be busy to avoid the work which they think it's not important. Never try walk ins at this branch. They will keep rescheduling you. Worst of the worst!!!

Shout out Liam King for the best client service I've ever gotten from a bank.I went in two Saturdays ago to appeal a business credit card rejection (that I thought was a mistake) after spending 2 fruitless hours on the phone with Chase the day before. Unlike the phone team, Liam was a great listener, pleasant to spend time with, and willing to help. He jumped over numerous hurdles during the application appeals process, found the issue in the system, and got me approved for my company's card on the spot. And as if that wasn't enough, he offered to help deal with this issue for other employees at my company if it happened to them.5/5 stars, would recommend Liam at Newton Centre Chase to anyone.

Came to this location at 4:30pm last evening right after finishing my day job to apply for a credit card. I've been thinking about doing it online. However, I wanted the experience of going in an actual Chase Bank to see what their customer service is like. Immediately I was greeted at the door by a young lady named Maddy (I'm guessing short for Madison): She told me to give her a minute while she finds an associate to pair me with. Seconds later, she comes back, to tell me no one is available to assist me right now and that it's getting close to there closing time (30minutes) however I can book an appointment online. There was not one single customer in that branch and they all seemed to be relaxing getting ready for the branch to be closed at 5pm. I work at a nearby bank myself, hence the fact I wasn't able to come in any early, and we NEVER refuse service! Even if our last customer walks in one minute before the branch closes! I felt like I wasted my time with Chase Bank and no longer have an interest in opening up an account there. I FELT LIKE A NUMBER AND NOT A PERSON

I came to the bank today to get my money and the teller was mean & she wasn't nice at all. My banker told me my money should be available today 7/13/21 in Chase Account and I could see it's available on line Chase bank in as well. However, this teller has told me the money isn't available and she was not even given me a Pacific date when it becomes available when I asked. What really upset me was They are my money but she didn't let me withdraw and did not tell me the truth that the money isn't available when the system said it's available which makes me feel like I am a fraud walking out the door. Please always be nice and friendly to customers.

Branch is terrible. Don’t waste your time here. Needs a change in management.

After a mixup with the main office - the Newton branch actually did a good job of finally getting my check to me. It was no fault of their own that the Chase corporate office made some paperwork blunders.

It was my first time at Chase Bank here and this branch was beyond expectation. They (always) have someone waiting for helping everyone and it was impressive. They also have coloring books for kids, I found what a smart and considerate idea! :)Abbas was very helpful and fast! They have their own parking spots for customers.

I went to this bank on several occasions to get my deceased wife’s IRA — I cannot seem to get them to help. She passed away in March and - it is November - I still did not receive the money . I am at a loss- they tell me to continue to send additional paperwork. Now what?FrustratingTom

EDIT: They have since apologized and provided me with the service I requested. NOTE: This review applies to Chase Bank in general and not only to this branch. Stay away! You deserve less bureaucracy. I applied online for a CHASE FREEDOM VISA SIGNATURE credit card account. I have excellent credit score. Very low debt and thought the card offered interesting benefits. About a week after applying online I received a letter over the mail (instead of a simple email) requesting that I fax a copy of my physical social security card to them. Initially I thought it was just spam or someone trying to steal my identity. After all, in 2020 who has a fax machine at home? I googled for a number for Chase support and called them to verify. To my surprise, it was true! They actually wanted the document either faxed or mailed (midst COVID). Upon questioning them about online alternatives they gave me an option to upload via Docusign sent to my email. I thought: "Awesome! Simple. This will work". I could not be more wrong. About a week after uploading the document, I received another letter (instead of an email again). Advising me that my upload was illegible! Ridiculous. I uploaded a well framed picture of my card against a black background using an iPhone camera. Of course, I then proceeded to call them (by then we are almost 3 weeks post application submission). I waited in line for a while and finally got to speak with a customer representative. Upon questioning him about the issue he offered me a different explanation! Apparently, the model of SSN card that I have was no longer acceptable as of 2 days before my application was processed! They stopped accepting it on July 22nd and my application was processed on July 24th. Did you know there were different models of social security cards?! I did not. Upon questioning them about this and trying to figure out a workaround they were adamant that the only way to get any of chase products approved would be to get a new SSN card with the IRS. In summary, I wasted hours of my time filling out the application, scanning documents and speaking on the phone and ended up with no new credit card. You can find yourself better options with other banks. In my case, I filled out a form online with American Express and a few hours latter: Voila! An EMAIL in my inbox with the message "you are approved". A few days latter the physical American Express credit arrived. No hassle. No invalid document model. No phone call. Just simple. We are in the 21st century. If something seems harder than it needs to be. It is.
