Working with Janice was great! We came in to purchase a chair and she put together a design for our room that enhanced the pieces that we already had. She quickly understood our likes and dislikes in color and fabric and was able to show us exactly what would complement our room.A very enjoyable experience!

I highly recommend Denise Belair; her level of customer service goes above and beyond and she always seems to be available in the years we have worked together. Denise's expertise with fabrics and knowledge of the furniture is exceptional.

Shelley (sp?) was so helpful in choosing what we needed for a new home. Unfortunately Bassett doesn’t seem to have a location in Chicago anymore so we weren’t able to order in store just online (so I don’t think she is getting credit for the sale), so I at least wanted to annotate how much she and Michaela helped while we were in today.

We purchased 14 different items from Bassett ranging from side tables, carpets, couch, dresser, bed. We had a very bad experience with items arriving late, damaged and incomplete. It's been approximately 3 years and almost all of the furniture is now worn out and some has already had to be thrown away because it just hasn't lasted under normal use. There are only two adults using everything so I would have expected a much longer life given the price they charge for things. I would avoid this company for a number of reasons.

Absolutely the worst! Poor quality, terrible customer service, and crooked financing options. Find some place else that is in your budget, and you will be happier you did.

After less than a year, I've had to have a technician out to restuff the cushions and pillows and my sectional is rarely sat on. You can feel the frame when you sit between the seats, the materials are just junk. The upholstery is pretty but not worth the thousands of dollars I spent. My salesperson should have called out the construction and encouraged me to test out a regular sofa -- vs a sectional -- but she never said anything. I only have a 3-seater so there was no reason to get the sectional, I just liked the arm better. I should have followed my instinct and bought a vintage sofa and reupholstered it. The quality is just not there in how furniture is built today. And, PS - when I finally called Bassett to complain about the "sit," I was one month past my one year warranty so I'm stuck with this sofa now. WATCH THE CLOCK!

Worst customer ethics and policy. They tried to deliver fully assembled head board of king size bed with glue sealed legs with supported planks (restricts the turning) which they cannot take to stairs because stairs have turns. They said it’s no fit and took the bed back. They have no option for supporting or refund fully. They have a restocking fees for items which they were unsuccessful in delivery because of their faults in pre-assemble design. They customer service advise us to keep it in garage, I hope they don’t sleep in garage. I will suggest there are much better options for buying furnitures with good Support and ethics.

We had a fantastic experience customizing a sectional sofa for our new home. The process was so easy and seamless. We got to pick every aspect of our couch from fabric to cushions to legs to details. Ramona was fabulous, kind and patient while I had moments of indecisiveness. Of course wait times for couch arrival are outrageous during Covid times currently but that’s to be expected everywhere. They quoted us 20-25 weeks with customization while crate and barrel was 30 weeks with the 2 fabric options in store. I’d say that’s away better and we get exactly what we want.

I ordered my custom made bed in May and was expected to get it delivered By August. It is now October and got delivered 2 months later than it should have and they can't even assemble the bed because of "quality control issue". This is extremely disappointing especially for a bed that cost $3,000. I DO NOT recommend Bassett Furniture ever just in general.

NOT good. Do yourself a favor. Shop elsewhere. I am in the middle of a dispute. My bank is duking it out. They want to charge a 15% fee for cancelling an order that never arrived. Pathetic.

Zero Stars. I have never experienced such disrespectful, rude, unprofessional service. I just got off the phone with McKaela who shared with me she wasn't going to look into my account because that would "take too much time".I received a credit from Furniture Protection Plan that Bassett insisted I buy... Bassett Customer Service (who was great) told me to go into Newton told me to come in to apply this credit. Once the Newton staff learned I was using a store credit, the service was instantly less.I spent time on the phone, email with the store due to mistake after mistake. Finally, I was told everything was all set and then they charged my credit card for the full amount. Instead of owning the mistake they stated there was no note of a credit and that they wouldn't read the notes. Thieves. Never go here.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We bought couches and were told by the sales associate, Denise (Chestnut Hill location), that they were in stock, ready to ship and would meet our desired timeline. Timing was very important to us, as we were moving into a new house and have no furniture. The furniture is fairly expensive, but we were willing to pay a high price for furniture that could arrive in a timely manner.We are now going 3 weeks without furniture to sit on. We cannot return the couches and buy something else, without being charged a 15% restocking fee. It's also impossible to get straight answers on timing; each time we call, we are told something different.In addition, it's clear that this company doesn't care much about their customers or the customer experience. Their attitude is that there's 'nothing they can do', even after I offered a few basic suggestions such as provide us a discount, or arrange for the furniture to be delivered to my house ASAP after it arrives at the local warehouse (as it can take up to two weeks to get your delivery 'scheduled' even once the couch is just miles from your home.) Hard to believe that no one at the company can take such basic, relatively inexpensive, actions to try and mend a customer relationship. As a result, I'm left to assume that they just don't care about their customers.I suggest you NEVER shop here. This was my first experience with the company and it's not something I will ever repeat again.
