“The Boston General Store is a great store to visit. It is like many other stores with "general store" or "country store" in their name in that it has a variety of products for your home. They have stuff for the kitchen, bathroom, and other miscellaneous items like art supplies, tools, and candles. They also carry locally sourced goods like Vermont made jams. A lot of their products seem to be of good quality and they seem to focus on sustainability. For example, they are able to refill soap dispensers to avoid the waste of buying new ones. They also have a very nice selection of quality kitchen knives. If you can't drop by the store, they have a website where you can order many of the same products you see in store. I still recommend going in person for the experience.”
“I love Diversity Consignment, they have been so supportive of me as an artist! Every time I go in I want to buy something as a customer. The staff are super sweet, friendly, and on top of things like managing the inventory that I bring in. Don't miss it and keep visiting, there is always something new to discover.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever worn a piece of clothing I’ve bought from Vivant that wasn’t met with an insane amount of compliments. They have some of the most unique and beautiful vintage pieces that are truly one of one. All the staff is knowledgable and friendly, and they have a great selection of jewelry as well as clothes. At this point, half of my jewelry collection consists of their sterling silver goodies, which I always get at a reasonable price. The store itself is like a museum, it is truly just fun to walk around and admire the clothes, flick through their record collection, and browse through the vintage ephemera. And if you need a pair of vintage pants that fit you perfectly, trust me they have them. Plus they are always doing events to engage with the community, bonus points for that. ❤️”
“Great fun to look around at assorted Objects. All the Area/stores are connected With ramps. Technically one floor. There are plenty of space for parking. So if needed you could park on one side goes through to drive down to Finish the other stores. When I was there they did have a food truck but otherwise than that not Much to get. Warning the facility Is not air conditioners, They do have fans through the building and one of the areas they do offer free water. Make sure you wear good shoes. Some of the entrance ways do not have handrails. Bring something to drink”
“My experience at Swank Seconds was totally fun. The owner brought me all of the clothes that I told her I needed and we had a great personal shopping experience. She is very knowledgeable about the clothes (shoes, hats accessories as well), their material and the brands as well as helping me decide what looked best. She held the store open after hours for me and as I have lost 20 pounds (and needed smaller size clothing) I found a great summer wardrobe. I'll be back in the fall!”
“Wiley, Jessamy, and the whole team at High Energy Vintage are truly the cat's meow. We've used Jessamy's mending services with great success, and picked up some amazing old NES games while in the shop. We've also seen firsthand how discriminating they are with what pieces they'll allow in the store - this is far from a simple second hand store, it's a carefully created shop with much to offer discerning shoppers.”
“This store is a MUST if you're in the Central Square area. They have a great selection of leather jackets, suit sets from the 60s/70s, accessories, etc. I went at around 12pm on a Wednesday and I was the only person in the store. The woman working there (so sorry I forgot her name) was knowledgeable and extremely friendly and I had a lovely time chatting with her. The prices were decent, with some affordable items and some more pricy pieces but nothing ridiculous like you'd see at other consignment shops in Boston. I'll definitely be back”

The moment you open the door, your senses are awakened by the rich smell of leather. And, that is just a tease. When you talk to Rick, you feel right as rain. He welcomes you and gives you the good ol' feeling like you've known him for decades. It sure is a good time!”
“Always find wonderful pieces for my son and daughter in great condition. Perfect fancy dresses, great coats and snowpants, and tons of Halloween costumes in October in all sizes. Plus, hot tip — the teenager sizes in the basement includes adult women sizes so I’ve even bought a dress for myself at kid prices.”

I enjoy visiting regularly as the changing content is so very entertaining and nostalgic. Kelly is so welcoming and has incredible knowledge she is always ready to share. “Would give it 4 start for occasional good inventory. Could use a bit of assistance in organizing and cleanliness as it sometimes appears to be disorganized. The owner could use some help with hiring an assistant especially when accepting new items as she appeared burned out. Parking is available and the location is small but quaint.”
“Buzzy's is the right place to go for treasures; not only clothing wise related (vintage and contemporary), but objects, art, kitchen utensils!!! It is by far, the best place to search for gift to yourself and others. And then, you go there and meet Buzzy, an iconic, charming lady with so much knowledge and humor, and the very warm, elegant, Dotti. Even if you decide not to bring something home (your bad), exchanging with Buzzy and Dotti you already have got an increasing supply of dopamine and happiness!!!”

“I started shopping here in '88. Those were my Vintage days. Then grunge and finally goth. They had EVERYTHING.I was so young / 19 - 20. I usually went to Oona's during my vintage days. It was costly as a teen though. Garment District was one of the only places I would shop 'cause they always had the correct clothing for my alternative -- grunge--goth days as well as appropriate items for work. That was so many decades ago. I miss it. It's huge & they had anything I wanted. iNo need to go to NYC!”
