Came here on a beautiful sunny day on Wednesday to do some shopping, checked the business hours and came around 5:15 pm (says they are open until 6pm) and the store was already closed. We were sad and were determined to come back to do some shopping. I called this morning at 11:15am to ensure they would be open, the lady in the phone told me 10-6pm. We made a 40 minute drive over and then when we went to the store it was closed again.... We presumed the lady may be on break so we waited and hour before checking again and still closed. Very sad and disappointed as this is our favorite jewelry store and we come during our 1 visit to the East Coast each year. We made 2 trips over here and the business was closed during both online and verbally communicated operating hours both times... Online store isn't as good as the actual store, I check regularly and don't see many new items so was really looking forward to shopping person. Not happy to to write a bad review on here but just very disappointed that the hours just seem to be up to the discretion of the employees/store each day.

All staff are always so helpful and kind. I love going to Village Silversmith. Thank you, Alicia, for helping with larger orders, as well!

Shopping on Sate State, I came to Village Silversmith. It seemed to e a popular store because several people were coming and going as I headed for the entrance. Inside, I found out why. The shop carried a lot of jewelry at affordable prices. First, I came to sterling silver rings in a wide variety of styles from plain bands and wide rope bands to love knot rings, puzzle rings, and more. There was an even wider selection of pendants with gemstones and crystals. I saw lapis lazuli, jasper, ruby, agate, amethyst, tiger’s eye, quartz, tanzanite, labradorite, opal, and other stones I couldn’t identify. Prices ranged from $20.00 to $90.00 for the simpler designs with crystals up to $255.00 for the ruby pendants. There was also a big variety of silver bracelets in styles from simple thin bangles to wide cuff bracelets with elaborate designs. A number of those ranged in price from $54.00 to $206.00. Price depended on the amount of silver used, how much work was involved in the styling, and the actual design. The designs range from common and simple to very to very unusual and very creative. There was also a display of larger polished crystals as well as large round stones with carved designs. I admired one of the latter that had a cat walking in the curve of a half moon. It was $28.00. This shop has something for everyone’s taste and everyone’s budget. For the wide range of styles and affordability of many pieces, I rate the Village Silversmith at 4.50. The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews. If you found this review useful, please click HELPFUL.

I love the crystals and stones they are all great and the prices are not bad either the only issue I have had and I only bring it up because it has happened more than once is that I gave up buying jewelry because my ex husband in the past bought a very expensive ring for our price range and within less than 2 months I looked one day and the stone was gone, it was a custom piece with a large moldavite stone in it which just made me ill. I gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was a freak thing and bought another necklace and probably 3 to 6 months later the setting fell off my nexklace and was damaged in such a way I would have to have it professionally repaired. Im just sticking to the crystals now.

Pretty little place with surprisingly reasonable prices. They seem to understand and tap into the spiritual aspect of what's in their store, which is nice

It's hard to leave a review for just one of their locations, since they all have very high quality offerings at super prices. My wife loves to browse their selection of rocks and minerals, and she will always come away with at least one, if not more. Keep up the great selection and the friendly staff!

This is one of the coolest shops that I got to visit while in Newburyport. Their store was jammed-packed with a great selection of rocks, minerals and fossils at a decent price. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I came away with several interesting pieces. If you're in the area, you should check out this shop, you won't be disappointed.
