I asked them how much for the NY strip steak bone-in and bone-out prices and the tall chubby bald guy said $23.99 and $24.99 for each respectively. So I said okay I'll have 4 of the bone-out steak. He cut 4 for me and input the price at $30.99 per lbs, I confronted him about this and he told me "I never said $24.99, the bone-out steak is $29.99". I told him both me and my wife heard you pretty well you said $24.99 and he insisted again that he did NOT say $24.99 but $29.99 instead. So then again I told him "Okay let's suppose you said $29.99, why did you calculate the final price at $30.99 per lbs" and he replied by "Sir, do you want the steak or not?!" Unbelievable! What a bunch of scammers! Never coming back here again!

great sandwiches and a carefully curated selection of meat, prepared meats and condiments/ sides. additionally, they serve wine and beer. not cheap, but fair for the level of quality and service

Modern butcher only serves 3-Way Roast Beef on Saturdays so we got in line at 1015a roughly 12 deep. The door opened shortly before 11a and we were the first group served. We ordered 2 3-Ways and ate at the sidewalk tables. The bun was griddled to perfection, the beef was fresh, pink and warm. It was an ample stack of beef and a good ratio of mayo and James River bbq sauce.
Overall one of the best we have had so far.

First of all.... What a sweet store. Has a bit of everything and even an area to have a bite if you don't need to go.
2nd, the beef. 3 way. every time. Has been amazing. we drive an hour + from NH to stand in line and get the opportunity to taste what can only be described as the greatest North shore beef of all time. If you beef, you must come here. It's not even a option, it's a necessity.
also! the sausage.... take home at least 2lb. You'll be back for more.

The Saturday beef sandwich is how all north shore beef sandwiches should be like yet aren't. If only the cashier would be faster to move the line along. I got there at 10:40 for 11:00 opening and there was already a line that grew behind me but when I left at 11:15 it was shorter so maybe it's better to come later, I don't know if/when they sell out, open till 4:00. There's an adjacent meat counter separate from the sandwiches that had its own, shorter, line.

Love everything about this place! The sausages are unreal and have such good flavor, the staff are always so friendly, and they carry other local products that are always high quality
