I have shopped MSJ for 18 years, and love it! Shop with confidence. I had MSJ do some restoration on pieces my mother left me and the work was just beautiful. I had engravings done on a locket and a ring, and the lettering was lovely- Quality, dependable and competitively priced with other store's estate jewelry. They stand by their products and repairs. Also, I enjoy their live sales on Instagram - a fun place to "window shop" as well as actually being in their store. My two faves are the Portsmouth Store and the Dover store in New hampshire.

What a fun jewelry store! The staff is knowledgeable and so helpful but not pushy! Lots of vintage, classy styles. Will definitely visit again when we are back in the area!

What a beautiful store with so many unique and special items. I had my heart set on a colorful stone in an antique setting and found a big selection to choose from. Go see Gabriella at Market Square jewelers. She has wonderful patience and knows every item in her store.

The staff here are absolutely the best! I was looking for a cross necklace in gold, and they were willing to show me all sorts of gorgeous pieces. However, when I started to look a little pale at the idea of spending quite so much on a piece of jewelry as a college student, one of the staff showed me over to some of their sterling silver pieces. The pendant I completely fell in love with didn't have a bevel on the end, so it couldn't be attached to the chain. However, after she helped me find a chain that perfectly matched the pendant I had selected, she found a bevel for me in store, and attached it!She was willing to stay after they had closed, helped me exactly what I was looking for, and repaired it for me. Honestly the staff here are some of the loveliest and kindest people, the pieces are beautiful, and I cannot thank them enough! I left with two pieces I know I'm going to be wearing for years - thank you!!

This site says the buy Luxury watchea for resale. I brought a 18k gold Ulysse Narsin in and owner offered to pay onlu gold value. And she was rude as well.

My boyfriend and I went to market square jewelers in Newburyport this past summer to try on engagement rings. I had no idea what I wanted or what I was even looking for. Gabriella was amazing and helped me find my dream ring!! She showed me so many options, styles and explained to me all the qualities of each ring (clarity, color, etc). She let me take pictures with each ring on so when I got home I could still look back at my top choices. Gabriella was so patient made this day so easy for my boyfriend and I, definitely a day to remember. I highly recommend going here!!

I’ve been shopping at Market Square Jewelers, both Newburyport and Portsmouth, for about 5 years now. Hands down, the most eclectic collection of jewelry in the area! I’m somewhat new to the world of grownup jewelry. I’m a lifelong lover, but only recently had the requisite resources to invest in my jewelry. My purchases have increased in frequency and cost, and the service I receive has been consistently impressive. I felt valued when purchasing a $50 pair of earrings and I felt valued when purchasing a $4000 necklace. They respectfully upsell, but I never feel pressured to make a purchase, nor do I feel they’re BS-ing me when they compliment a choice. They love jewelry as much as I do! I have particular taste with a penchant for one-of-a-kind artisan and vintage pieces - especially when combined and redesigned to create a new piece of art. Gabriella referred to them as “Market Square mashups” - totally on point. They also have a live sale session, and sell pieces live for a good deal. I’ve never seen it but sounds like a good time. Gabriella was especially wonderful while I spent a full 2 hours picking out the just right chain and pendant. I looked at every tray of rings before I switched to pendants. I could do this indefinitely because my love for jewelry is boundless.In terms of customer relations, here are 3 instances where the service was excellent. I once traded in a considerable amount of jewelry, none of which was particularly valuable and some was likely trash. They took a reasonable amount of time to work through it all. They were gracious, straightforward, and meticulous throughout the process, and not once did they make me feel awkward. Another time, I had them take small diamonds from my nana’s wedding band and insert them into bezels and then in a chain. They did a beautiful job and I wear it all the time. Another time, I asked them to fix a safety chain (that I had them put on a bracelet and I later broke it) and they did so at no charge.All in all, a wonderful jeweler, especially for those with eclectic taste. There’s something there for everyone.Please shop there so they stay in business for the remainder of my life!

So glad I’ve finally discovered this gem of a store in downtown Newburyport! With a delightful array of stunning fine jewelry, tastefully displayed, there is something for everyone here! It’s hard to find a jewelry store that offers so many services, too! I had some vintage pieces that I inherited, broken but beloved, restored to perfection here, at a very reasonable price. The ladies at the counter could not have been nicer or more welcoming! I will be back soon!

Market Square Jewelers is a gem of a store! You could lose yourself in there looking at all they have to offer. The staff is friendly, courteous, and very helpful. I went in to have the backs of two watches put back in place and the staff politely refused to be reimbursed for the service. You can’t get any better when your actions guarantee return business

When I stepped foot into Market Square Jewelers, Jen, welcomed me into her shop with a cheery "Hello!". She asked how she could help me and I showed her my broken pendant earring. It needed to be re-assembled and secured. She went right to work and in a moment it was fixed. Problem solved. Thank you so much. I shall return to this shop again because I noticed their inventory was quite unique. Many pieces caught my eye and I brought them to the attention of my husband. This jeweler was a great find for me today.

I know that I will always be treated as a valued customer when I call or go into their store. Sales people are knowledgeable as well as warm & friendly,. I just purchased a beautiful pair of gold earrings I found on their website. When I went in to pick them up, they were larger & more beautiful than I imagined from the picture! I've also been very happy with repair work & the re-make of a ring. I'm a very happy & satisfied customer & highly recommend a stop in one of their locations!
