I had a great experience here during the Christmas season picking out a gift for my daughter. She wanted a slightly oversized cream colored fishermen's sweater and it was a little tricky figuring out the right size for her. The sales woman I worked with was very friendly and helpful, and in the end we ended up with the perfect fit. I'll totally be back. They had a wide range of items, some expected and others more unique. I'd say it was totally worth the trip to check it out, I know I'll be back.

Stopped in to Ireland On The Square on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 and was immediately greeted by a woman (I didn't get her name) with a wonderful smile and extremely helpful. I wanted a unique ring and found the Marcasite and Connemara Shamrock ring - gorgeous! Before I found the right ring, this patient lady showed me dozens of rings and answered all my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to return. Sláinte

Lovely store. Bought a beautiful scarf there for my mother for Christmas. The woman working there was very helpful in helping me pick it out and was very patient with me while I went back and forth between 2 scarves! Very good price. Very helpful. Highly recommend.

Some of the staff in Newburyport are not friendly the gentleman is and they did not have what I was looking for. Was looking for a piece of Irish linen as a wedding gift they have mostly touristy stuff.

I have consumer remorse: I saw a beautiful wool and mohair throw blanket at Ireland on the Square that I should have bought- but didn't. Of course it was gone when I returned a few weeks later. So if you see something you like here, buy it. They have a curated selection of lovely blankets, sweaters, baby clothes, capes, all imported from Ireland. Quality is top notch. It's a beautiful little shop right on Portsmouth's Market Square with welcoming service.

I came here once and will never return because of the rude, aggressive attitude of the older female store clerk. When I asked if I could return an item I had bought over the phone (I had not been informed of the store's store-credit-only return policy when buying it), she reached over the counter and picked up a little sign and said, "The store policy is here, right where it should be." She offered no apologies and acted like I should have known better. She also made me feel like an irritating nuisance when I asked questions about products, reluctantly giving short answers, appearing impatient even though I was the only shopper in the store and she was seated behind the counter.

Great products, however the blonde staff lady was pretty darn rude both times we were in the store. We honestly didn't notice the size we needed to exchange for and she made fun of us for it. Saying "Wow, it was right there where the mediums were." Won't be shopping there again. Also, the websites for these products were about $20 to $30 cheaper.

Staff is extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. It’s too bad because the store is nice, but the unwelcome feeling was too much of a turn off for me to actually purchase anything from them.

My fiance and I bought a Celtic ring. The Celtic design broke and fell apart. We brought it back, were told to bad its not there problem. It was going to be my wedding ring. The wedding was 3 days later .we were told to call the owners, haven't heard back from them yet .its been 2weeks .we will never step foot in this establishment again.

A bit pricey but most of the goods are actually imported from Ireland. Lots of nice things in this store. The staff is extremely friendly as well!
