Buyer Beware. I purchased $170 Holbrook cable knit sweater for my wife for Xmas. Looked great, fit great.Washed it explicitly following care directions. Well it didn't do well. Brought it back to Basin. I spoke employee about returning the sweater, I showed her the problem & all was good until I said it was washed.A switch flipped & she said she couldn't help me as sweater was worn. I explained it wasn't worn just washed following directions. " It must have in contact with something it didn't like" & "I have all their products and never had a problem".I get return policies but not to even consider that there could be an issue with the product or suggesting a possible fix........oh well.

My whole office is enjoying the custom swag with our Newburyport Dental Associates logo. Matt insisted on finding the perfect color of embroidery thread and I’m so glad he did. The Patagonia jackets are gorgeous. Thank you for making it so easy for our team of 16 to get sized, Karyn, and for the continued updates on the order. The professionalism and customer service is off the charts! It’s so nice to be toasty warm at lunch when we have all the windows open for airflow!! Thanks for the over-the-top service.

I never been to Maine and came here for TV network shooting for a realty TV show. I heard by default very nice wonderful things about Maine and especially the outdoors. I was told there was nice folks here as well. I was excited to have a little free time to shop a little before I leave and was pointed by so many folks to make sure to stop by Alpine Shop. first experience interaction was a not welcome at the shop and the mentality was very negative from the shop owner because I had a service dog accompany me. The lady or shop owner was very unfriendly and told me me and my service dog was not welcome and not allowed to enter the store. She was clearly not aware of the laws of service dogs and not aware of the protocol that you are supposed to do when you do encounter a service dog. I did not have the energy to challenge her as I was already soaked from the rain and trying to come in and shop and not get rain one any more. And she was not worth the energy and I was not in a place to educate her nor explain to her knowingly her presentation was already on guard. I am an U.S. Navy veteran that has fought for this country and came back with PTSD AND STRUGGLE WITH THIS EVERY DAY. My service dog is a professionally trained service dog that I went thru a service dog program for combat veterans. We been together for 5 years and he helps me function in society and helps me with task as it is very hard for me to function without him. I am rated 50% mentally disabled from the VA and by law I am assign by a service dog to help me function. This shop needs to get educated professionally by law and learn the ADA Law of a service dog and owner. Under the ADA, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is allowed to go. For example, in a hospital it usually would be inappropriate to exclude a service animal from areas such as patient rooms, clinics, cafeterias, or examination rooms. However, it may be appropriate to exclude a service animal from operating rooms or burn units where the animal's presence may compromise a sterile environment. Go here to learn more - As for now this shop is not educated so anyone traveling with a service dog in to Rangley, Maine for disabilities for the blind, handicap, trauma, ptsd is not allowed to enter this shop. The owner has not educated themselves and they are operating lack of knowledge of what a service dog is vs a pet as the owner put my dog in a category just as a dog "pet" and never even acknowledge after I stated I have a service dog coming into the store to shop and spend money from the 4 star rating I received from folks here in Maine. This place is not supporting service dogs with owner disabilities. Not friendly!!!!! and very not welcoming!!!!! And not a 4 star rating. They don't support people with disabilities whom are needing service dogs support. Bad experience in Rangley, Maine Chad
