“I’ve been shopping at Ganesh for many years. They have wonderful gifts. I buy all of my shoulder bags from there and have purchased jewelry, earrings, prayer flags, a singing bowl, Buddha sculpture, shirts, dresses, etc. The staff is always very nice.”

“I had a beautiful experience with Kat. She was incredibly helpful and super kind and inviting. Many stores will rip you off when buying crystals but the crystals here are VERY affordable and they have a great selection. Thanks Kat!”

“Salt & Grove offers some nice gifts, particularly kitchen items like glassware, bento boxes, cookbooks, and cocktail syrups. They are not an inexpensive store, but nice if you're looking for a gift or quality item for yourself.”

“On occasion I love going to Newburyport to spend the day, shop and sit by the water and this was one of those days. I’ve bought from them twice now and the woman remembered me (not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing!), either way they always have the most comfortable clothes and I love the little free gift I get with each purchase!”

“Taking a detour off Market Square, I came upon Inn Street, a very narrow one-lane street that has been closed off to form a pedestrian mall with shops. The first one was the Brass Lyon. This shop has a nautical theme which fits well in this coastal city that was once a bustling seaport. Inside, I found a variety of merchandise. On the lower level, I saw T-shirts, sport caps, and jewelry cases as well as compasses. Chelsea clocks and weather instruments hung above the main area. Upstairs, I found a lot of models of sailing ships – yachts and old tall ships. I particularly liked one that was gaff-rigged which is my preferred rigging because it provides more sail area for the same mast height which means less hardware and other benefits. There were a lot of brass items that included door knockers and plaques. One unusual item was called Shark Off. It was a piece of jewelry that was supposed to repel sharks. As with most Newburyport shops, everything here was quality. I rate Brass Lyon at 4.50 and can recommend a visit. The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews. If you found this review useful, please click HELPFUL.”

“This is a a really, really nice store. I make it a point to visit when I am in Newburyport. There is a vague French theme but mostly the items are high end housewares. Kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom. There is a smattering of food items, mostly canned and bottled stuff. I'm terms of the staff, I've never had a problem. They are waspy looking North Shore women of a certain age. What do you want? They ring me up and I'm on my way.”

“I had a great experience here during the Christmas season picking out a gift for my daughter. She wanted a slightly oversized cream colored fishermen's sweater and it was a little tricky figuring out the right size for her. The sales woman I worked with was very friendly and helpful, and in the end we ended up with the perfect fit. I'll totally be back. They had a wide range of items, some expected and others more unique. I'd say it was totally worth the trip to check it out, I know I'll be back.”
