How long do I have to wait on hold? I am not surprised. This is the same place where I scheduled a Covid shot, was confirmed on line, and then when I showed up at the store I was not on the list! They did apologize later on, but this is lazy incompetence. I am still waiting for someon to pick up. I read others' comments who experienced the same thing. And the audio song on the phone is so effin irritating!

I've been using this location for years. Seems like there are a lot of entitled whiners here. This store serves a massive area and, like every other place right now, have trouble staffing occasionally. Note this review is for the PHARMACY...people should specify! Perhaps because I go on the off times (not at lunch, not at 2:30 when schools let out, not between 5 and 7 pm) I rarely have a line. I can't say enough about the help the pharmacists have given me...even when they are slammed, which is most of the time.RE VACCINES...seriously, think about it...just because there is no line does NOT mean they have time to stop everything just for you! Scheduling ahead of time gives them time to FILL PRESCRIPTIONS without interruptions. Could you just walk into your doctor's office and say "Hey, I want a shot now"???Not sure if they are open? CALL!Someone parking in the "family" spot? Report it to the Manager instead of whining and low rating on Yelp. Can't walk into the pharmacy? Go to the Story Ave. drive through.

No one at the location waiting and they will not give me a flu shot. Made me look online which I did and you cannot make an appointment for at least two days. So I called and asked if I could come in and get a flu shot and they will not take me as a walk in when they know who I am and with no one getting a flu shot at all. Great service as always at CVS. Glad you're here to help people! Real hard to say come in back in and we will gladly take care of you as a longtime customer.

Just wanna give a shout-out to whatever employee parks in the "families with young children" parking spot, daily. It's a red SUV. IDGAF where I park I don't mind walking with my baby because I'm not disabled and honestly need the exercise I just find it in poor taste for an employee to park there when it's NEWBURYPORT aka there are plenty of spots close to the door. And also? What about the mom who just had a c-section who wants to park there To pick up her RX after giving birth ?? Stop being lazy. Also, the pharmacist refused to fill my RX because she apparently doesn't like or respect recovering addicts. Again, no class or integrity. Thank god I'm moving and never have to darken their doorstop again.

This. Place. Is. Not. Open. 24/7. Update the hours. I needed something urgent and schlepped all the way there from the island as that was the closest and it closes every single day and does not open till 7am

I cannot say enough about this pharmacy-How fortunate our family is to have the staff at CVS Pond Street available to us 24/7! I want to immediately give a shout out to Chris Haak who works in the pharmacy and makes every member of our family feel welcome and special every time we are there. He is always super friendly and accommodating-even when it is extremely busy. Always professional and always greets everyone with a smile and we see him treating all customers this way too. I don't believe that he is the manager but he acts invested enough to be one and is always ready to help. I have seen him in the pharmacy, up front and in the isles always with a friendly and helpful demeanor. The Pharmacist Laura is amazing and super friendly too and gives better advice than some of he doctors I have seen! She knows her stuff and is always willing to answer questions. Also, Everyone is so helpful in letting us know about special services like flu and other vaccines available or special discounts etc... After all these years of living around the corner-we feel like so many of the staff are FAMILY!! Thank you Pond Street CVS-Chris and Laura and Heidi THE ROYS APPRECIATE YOU ALL!

Pharmacy needs help! I've submitted refills on the app that never go through. I was told the app was very unreliable and to call. What is the point of having an app if it doesn't work? I guess I'm applying logic where there is none.

The store itself is fine, it's a CVS like any other. But the pharmacy is really hard to deal with. I'm not sure why so many people who work in the pharmacy are surly and think it's OK to treat customers like they are the enemy, but that's what they do. I had a prescription that I've had filled every month, and they switched out the generic manufacturer, which is allowed. But then the med didn't work like the one I'd been using and I started to have a reaction and I came in to talk to them about it, the person at the "consultation" window decided to argue with me about it..."that can't happen" "no, you're wrong" "You don't understand generics they are all the same" and was very rude to me. (Funny, when I reported the drug problem to my doctor he said "wow, that's not good...I'm going to report that on MedWatch...sometimes the formulations don't work as well in different people or there's a problem in manufacturing. ) Other times, I've come in to pick up prescriptions that were supposedly ready, only to have to wait for them to be filled, or worse...find they were only partially filled (only 12 pills instead of 30) ... and the person was rude to ME when I asked why (why did CVS say it's ready? why don't you know when I can pick up the whole prescription?...WHY are you YELLING at ME, the CUSTOMER, when it's CVS's mistake?) Another time, I was with a friend who was getting a refill for a prescription he's had for years for a pain reliever...the person at the counter and the pharmacist gave him the 3rd degree, treated him like a criminal trying to get away with something and then gave him the run around for DAYS! (again with the whole "It's ready...oh, no, it's not, come back in 2 days...oh no, it's not...we can only give you 5 pills) My friend was in tears...without this pain med (needed due to injuries from an accident that nearly killed him) he cannot function - can't stand, can't walk, can't work, can barely get out of bed due to the pain. And the CVS techs think it's THEIR job to torture this customer until he's in tears. (and do it month after month after month - for every refill) And at yet other times, I've seen them doing the same, exact things to other customers while I'm waiting. They are surly, combative, dismissive again and again and again. I don't know why they are like that, I don't care... but I'm never using this pharmacy again.

i mean it's nice. they mess up our prescriptions a lot and make things very stressful which is kind of ironic because it's medication to treat my anxiety. there's always a wait and sometimes the workers aren't very nice, but come on, it's cvs. it's just there for road trips when you have to buy a tooth brush because you forgot to pack one like the idiot you are so you run in to stock up on snacks and other necessities. it's clean and okay

I was returning from a Boston hospital for an extremely difficult 4 hour back surgery , I was in the hospital for 4 days.My ride home over bumps was extremely long and painful. My prior round of meds were wearing off and my 11" incision was leaking blood.I live alone in Newburyport so I took the opportunity to stop at Cvs to stop the onslaught of extreme pain. I used my cane to make my way in line to process and fill my pain prescriptions. My turn up , I noticed the waiting area completely full.I asked the pharmacist if she could expedite my 3 prescriptions, she with attitude chastised me for asking and that 8 people were ahead of me to just sit down and she said that I was slowing her down by talking.I explained that I could not sit as my back was covered with blood..I waited approximately 25min till she whispered my name .Walking out I told my story to the nodding out head pharmacist and he supported his girl..My advice ..GO ELSEWHERE!!
