I went to Dr. Hennessy and Dr. Craig for 18 years with 2 pets and they were absolutely the best and I appreciate the great care they gave my animals. I left the practice because on a 15 degree February day, the office staff left me waiting in the car for 20 minutes holding my dying cat. As I walked in with my cat who was getting euthanized, the first thing the office person said to me was "how are you going to pay?" and by what payment method- said with a rude attitude. I was in tears. It was so insensitive and cruel, I could never bring myself to go back.

Today i was kicked out of the practice after being a client for over 20 years, having my 19 year old girl finish out her life in their arms, having the birth of 6 of my puppies take place on their operating table and my 17 year old being cared for in the late stages of his life.I go in for a routine overpriced exam with a new vet and wind up being told that I will no longer be welcome to come back to the facility in the most harsh and unfriendly way possible.I was told that it was mandatory by law for me to inject my dog with unnecessary vaccines. My dog is 17 years old and has a back problem that makes it very challenging for him to walk. He has experienced some recent side effects from his heart worm medication and has become allergic to almost all treats and food. I'm just simply not willing to experiment with injecting him any longer. It's not necessary. His feet rarely touch the ground and walks are seldom. So now I have a 17 year old dog in the final stages of his life who has been rejected by the only people that I have trusted to care for him forever. Absolutely heartless.

We have been taking our two dogs to Carr Island and Dr. Hennessy for over 13 years and I wouldn't think of taking them anywhere else. They are consistently kind and professional. Dr Hennessy is smart, insightful, and totally honest at all times. She will order the necessary tests but won't rack up your bill with unnecessary procedures. I trust her totally and you should too. She's a gem.

This review is specific to Dr Elizabeth Hennessy. Many people, including myself work in healthcare as a provider and not all providers are created equally. Dr Elizabeth is a true physician who cares for your pet. With Dr E help I was able to keep my little Toby Ishman at home essentially on animal hospice in the comfort of his own home - without Dr E - it would not have been possible. When the time came for us to say goodbye - if it wasn't for Elizabeth and her crew - I would have lost my sh**. But this review isn't about me, it's about the care and love that Toby received during the end of his life.

Wow, super rude and unprofessional person answering the phones when speaking to a potential new client. Can't be bothered to answer the simplest question about pricing for appointment and specific treatment. Told me you'll just have to come to the appointment and find out because no one here has that information? Every other local practice was able to answer this question professionally and pleasantly.

Rude and inpatient giving out information about your treated animal.unacceptable! Not answering the phone while We await information to give to office. Verbage to pts.owners should be professional and not reprimanding. Clearly, with pd. Bill receipt . A definitive dx should be documented for follow up.It has been noted with certain vets recently, communication is poor to say the least. All of the above should be addressed and better response by vets should be improved. Thank you, Barbara Boekholder

My dog's breeder was a client of Dr Elizabeth Hennessey and so I have continued with her for the last 13 plus years. She is possibly THE best vet I have ever encountered and not one to suggest random tests and surgical procedures if not needed. Case in point ; my dog has always had a very small hernia near his belly button-we have watched it over the years and it has not progressed at all. When asked originally if she would suggest surgery immediately as a pup-her response was "why put another hole in him if it's not necessary ?" She had me from then on !

I’ve had no problems with the vet but the front desk people are kind of rude and inpatient. I’ve been to this vet for two visits the last two weeks and they let me inside with a mask on, to my dog’s appointments. The visit today they said that only vaccinated people were allowed to come in with a mask on because they were trying to protect someone who worked there. It’s weird because the science says even vaccinated people can contract and infect other people so I’m not sure why they are singling out unvaccinated people. If you have a choice, check out other vets first.

All my dogs were patients at Carr Island since I moved to Nbpt 10 years ago. A decade of courteous treatment by the front desk and good care by the vets ended this month, when they discharged me after a visit without a bill. I called in a few minutes later and asked to be sent the bill so I could review and pay it. The front desk clerk demanded payment immediately. I said I'd like to see the bill before I pay it. The clerk shouted "whatever!" and hung up. I got the bill in the mail a day or two later. I called and paid it that day. A few days later, I got a letter from the owner saying I shouldn't come back. My dogs records were enclosed. wow.

Absolutely worst place I have ever had to deal with. Every time my dog had an issue It would take 5 different visits for them to solve such a simple thing, each vist costing hundreds of dollars. Recently called because my dog has been experiencing extremely bad allergies. I have already taken the dog 3 times for the same issue. After calling this last time I was told she couldnt be seen for 2 weeks. Mind you I told them her ears were bleeding and she was extremely uncomfortable. Also told them that my schedule isn't flexible because I am a first responder and there was no care or concern given. I asked for something in the mean time to help her until she could be seen and I was told the doctor would call me back and 2 days later I have still not received a call. The front desk staff is extremly rude and seem bothered every time I call. I have 2 dogs I have been taking to Carr Island and will be transferring them ASAP. I hope all of the ignorance and unprofessional staff that works there are glad they lost 2 more dogs. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Complete rip off and ignorant people.
