A new truck was very nice, however the rate of a 2 hour late fee is outrageous and charged $40 and new milage is extremely disappointing!!!

I like that I got assistance from a worker. As a first time U-haul renter getting the in-person help was vital. I'm not looking forward to when the whole process will be done through the app.I didn't like that rental costs are by rental period rather than the promoted 24-hour rate. I could have been charged double. Everyone should choose to rent per 24-hours.

I didn't have any issues what so ever. The truck was very clean, it ran smoothly. U-Haul let's you inspect the truck it self before you leave with it, they let you take pictures if there is already damaged areas to the van or truck so you don't be held responsible for anything that is not your fault. I over all didn't have an issue with the truck I rented, the only thing that i didn't like which I should of ask them was there wasn't a ramp on the truck to wheel up heavily items but i should of asked if they had a truck with a ramp so that is my fault.. I would Definitely recommend that you chose U-Haul for moving because they had reasonable prices, they are clean and on top of the basics, like how much gas is in the truck and the mileage exedra.

Reserved the van online. When I got there, the van was dirty, had NO gas, and sounded awful when started. I returned the van on time, with more gas in it than when I picked it up, and cleaner then when I got it. They charged me a cleaning fee for a van that was dirty and nasty when I picked it up. I would avoid this location and do business elsewhere.

Worst Uhaul I have ever experienced. This location is stunningly incompetent. First on the day of my delivery they tell me they were cancelling my delivery of uboxes “for not answering their call” (which I did the day before and we scheduled and confirmed then). I called to look into it and fix it and they said they had on record I answered the call but then it was still cancelled because it was delayed and the boxes had never left the place I moved from. They forwarded my call to the state I moved from who told me everything was set on their end and that it shipped and would have arrived in New Bedford. Well I could confirm this because thank God I put AirTags in the boxes. They sent me back to New Bedford who said they never got the boxes. I told them I have AirTags that show me they arrived. They forwarded my call to a guy who answered with “what do you want?” I said excuse me? Is this Uhaul? I’m just trying to get my Upack boxes delivered. I was kind through the whole thing but he hung up on me. I called New Bedford again and they answered and then hung up before I could say anything. I called again and explained what all happened to me and she said the boxes were going to be extremely delayed and to expect a huge refund. I told her look I know the boxes are here can we just schedule the delivery? Then she changed her story saying she thought the boxes were there but just hadn’t been checked into the facility yet. Lo and behold I get a message that the boxes arrived and will be delivered that day. Not sure what happened but the experience was absolutely horrible. Do not trust these guys. I am not the only one. My friend had boxes coming a few weeks later and they gave her a very similar runaround claiming the boxes were unaccounted-for. After she called a bunch of people like I had to, they finally got her boxes delivered. We can’t possibly be the only two people they’ve done this to. Beware and make sure to put AirTags in your boxes so they can’t take advantage of you and try to blame you for their errors.

This young man did everything he possibly could to make sure we got our truck. He was very intelligent, professional, kind and compassionate. So thank you Devon for saving us and making our move a peaceful one.

We had an AWFUL experience at the Rockdale location, and Devin at this location was more than helpful! He was empathetic and seemed to really care that we were distressed and pressed for time. He made a lot of phone calls on our behalf. Thank you so much for helping us not have a meltdown on moving day!

The management at the Mt Pleasant New Bedford location is absolutely horrible. The new people working there are clueless because of the lack of training, ot honestly seems like the managers need their own retraining on how to run a place never mind making them actually teach their new employees something. Customer service and business should not be affected by the lack of policy around there. Not even worth dealing with this place anymore because everyone is so rude and miserable. I heard one girl working there calling a customer an obscene name (not appropriate for here). Just go to Penske or one of the other local storage/truck rental facilities. Zero stars, uhaul.

Spent 15 mins in here getting help by a gentleman who worked here named Marcus. He had perfect customer service and greeted me on my way in as well as on The way out. Five stars for marcus, he also was knowledgeable in the storage deal one free month with the rental of any truck although I didn’t need it he would of had me sold on his service skills. My past few experiences at this location weren’t as pleasant but I’ll be back long as Marcus is servicing me.

The assistant manager here named Julie is just a self righteous j*** on a power trip. She doesn't even know uhaul's own policies when renting an enclosed trailer to move a motorcycle. I spoke with numerous uhaul reps over the phone today explaining how I needed to move a motorcycle that was 100 miles away and because of the rainy weather I wanted to rent an enclosed trailer. All the reps said I could rent an enclosed trailer as long as I drained the fluids. This store was the closest location with the trailer I needed. However this j*** Julie refused to rent me it saying because I told her I wanted to use it to move a motorcycle she would not rent it to me. She claims she is the assistant manager yet doesn't even know uhaul's own policies. Right after she refused to rent to me the said enclosed trailer I called and spoke with a rep in the call center who again as all the others I had spoken to earlier in the day said YES I could rent an enclosed trailer to move a motorcycle. NOWAY should this girl Julie be an assistant manager!
