This review is not about the technicians. They were very good when they showed up. It is about the overall performance of Safelite. This was an at home repair. It took 4 times over a month (that meant staying home from work) to get my windshield repaired. The four hour window is optional for them or the other thing they will just reschedule your appointment without telling you. But probably the most unbelievable part was when the tech showed up realized that the replacement windshield had a crack in it, when he called back to the shop on what to do, the manager told the tech to install the windshield with the crack in it. Crazy replace a cracked windshield with a cracked windshield. Mine was a company vehicle so the company set up the replacement. But my recommendation use a local business or anyone else if you value your time. Safelite will probably respond with thanks for the feedback but it means nothing. From the 7 phones I had to make for scheduling or to complain had no value whatsoever.

The tech did a good job and was nice but left the glass pieces in my driveway. I was not happy with all the glass. They stated it's not their job to clean up the glass, only the glass in the car, well he removed the side window and the glass fell from him replacing the window and I didn't put the glass on the ground. The glass didn't break to leave glass on the ground prior to the fix. Due to this I will never use safelite in the future. Also followed up with customer service and had to drive to the store because no one answers the phone and complain they stated they would put a warranty in and come out and clean it, which they never did. I'm beyond disappointed. Customer service and store completely not on the same page. The glass is in my tires and this is acceptable customer service. I pray my window doesn't break again

I had my 19 honda Ridgeline service on 10/30/24 by this company no luck fix it that day so they had me bring it to them on 11/1/24 to have my glass replace so I did a few hours later I get a call from a technician tell me my truck is ready but that I have to come back because of a bad glass so as a technician that i am ask are there lights on he said yes so i told them my truck didn't have lights on so they have to figure something out they try to put me in a car rental i said NO i need my own truck back i wuz told that's all they can do i wuz not to happy so like a tech that i am i did a look over & here is why they couldn't get the job do right couldn't get my LKAS & ACC calibrate after this I will never go back they

Safe life is the best company to go for if your windshield is cracked! I was in constant contact with my technician all through the day with updates. Dominic was my technician and he was absolutely amazing. He was very friendly and my daughter and I stayed out side watching him put the windshield on. I have never experienced such amazing customer service. Give that man a raise, I will request him every time!!!!!

They replaced my windshield and could not calibrate sensors, finally after waiting 4 hours they told me I would need to go back to the dealership. The dealership found connector to the sensors was broken and sensor damaged. The car was brand new, everything worked fine until they changed my windshield.

Safelite auto glass are great. Very convenient and very professional people on call and on the road to take care of my windshield at work. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them.

Scheduled a windshield replacement at the shop, added the vehicles vin# which populated all the info. When I went for the appt. they said it was actually for a repair and not a replacement but that they could order the windshield and schedule the appt.for a different day which the guy did on his end. On day of drop off They asked for me to drop off the vehicle before they opened to have it done early which I did. I called around 1pm and they said they had not touched the car, reminded me it was an all day drop off which they had previously mentioned. I called again around 330 just to make sure it would be done on that day and they said it would be done by closing time of 5pm. I received a call around 430pm saying the windshield was repaired since the wrong glass was ordered, when I asked how that happened I was given nothing but attitude and was told I must have put in the wrong info online, again I used the vin# and the glass was order by them. When picked up the vehicle the repair was visible, both workers were extremely rude and handed me a receipt for $991. When I asked if that’s what they charge for a repair they said they just had to change the billing in the computer. I requested an adequate receipt and the guy replied with “what do you care, you’re not paying for it”, I said that technically I was since I pay for my insurance. He gave me a new receipt for $78. Must be how they’re scamming insurance companies and customers.

I booked appointment online and it was changed a few days before install to 2 weeks ahead. Technician drove this van over my lawn and left trash on the ground. The reset/ calibration failed and the car was not drivable. After too many calls to customer service and install warranty dept. still no call back after 7 days. They refuse to reimburse if a dealer fixes problem. nightmare. Now they want me to bring to a location 40 mins. away. It could take 2 hours or days if they don't have windshield. Customer service impossible to get ahold of. Store doesn't have a number listed on website. Shop number I got from CS doesn't work. Not a good experience.

Purchased a Kia from a private seller really cheap with a cracked windshield, called safelite for a great quote and replacement without going through the insurance, and they came out to my home within days! Xavier the technician did a fantastic job and was very polite. Thank you Safelite for a job well done at a reasonable price.

Got windows replaced. 2 days later, cracks started on the window. Brought it to Safelite who first said it was their fault (poor installation that caused the crack). Brought it to the shop again for the appointment to be told that another claim needs to be placed (which means another payment needs to be made to get the window fixed even if it was their error). Highly do not recommend.
