Commonwealth Learning Center (CLC) has been a vital resource for students needing individualized tutoring and academic support. For over six years, CLC has helped children gain proficiency and confidence in their studies. Tutors at CLC take the time to understand each child's unique needs and adapt their teaching methods accordingly. This personalized approach has led to significant improvements in students' skills, with many parents expressing gratitude for the positive impact on their children's education. Parents have shared stories of their children's transformations, particularly in reading and writing. One parent noted that their daughter, who struggled with reading at a 1st-grade level while in 5th grade, is now performing at grade level and excited about moving into 7th grade. Another parent highlighted the success of their child, diagnosed with dyslexia, who showed remarkable progress in reading and gained confidence through the support of a dedicated tutor. The friendly and flexible staff, including specific praise for a tutor named Amy, have made a lasting impression on families. CLC’s focus on tailored learning, communication with parents, and effective teaching methods, such as the Orton-Gillingham approach, have earned it high recommendations from those who have experienced its services.
Commonwealth Learning has helped me work towards my goals. My goal has been to add a reading program to my skill set. Today I finished the first step to be certified in Orton Gillingham. I’m more than thrilled to be able to move onto the practicum in the fall.
