April 2022, Brought my MP Bodyguard.380 to Sergey Lyalko to have new magazine release installed, extend the safety, and new front rear sights installed..everything seemed fine until I looked closer at rear sight when I got home as I had my glasses, he hacked it up..unbelievable..denied it was damaged, there won’t be a second time going here…Untrustworthy..HACK!!

Went in for a sear block milling to allow for an M16 BCG. Everyone told me removal of the whole block would destroy or leave a hole in the lower but he was able to do so. Exceeded my expectations.

I called and the bottom line is that they were unhelpful in achieving my goals. They share closedminded perspectives that can be previlant in this industry.

Sergey has worked on two re-bluing projects for me, both of which turned out great. The first was a re-bluing of a S&W revolver side plate, which came out great. The second was a complete re-bluing of an East German Makarov, with gorgeous results. In both cases, the work was excellent, the turnaround decently fast, and the pricing reasonable. Throughout, Sergey is transparent and candid communicator, being very clear about what can and cannot be accomplished. I would recommend his services to anybody.

I worked with Sergey to finish the barrel and lock for my Kibler's Colonial Rifle. The Case coloring that he had recommended came out amazing and was worth the money and time. He finished the project ahead of schedule and I was amazed with how it came out.

Sergey restored my WWI French RSC 1917 for me. He is a very skilled and talented machinist who fabricated new parts for me in order to repair the gas system and return the gun to firing condition. Sergey has a very good eye and understanding of unusual projects, and I felt very confident in his ability. The work was done in short time, and done correctly. He is a great man to speak with, and I will certainly work with him in the future on more projects. Thank you again Sergey.

I was given a S&W Model 36 revolver that had been dropped and skidded across payment. It had sustained deep scratches in the cylinder that removed the bluing. Sergei buffed out the scratches and with using a dying art form, re-blued the cylinder. The turn around was two days. The work was outstanding. I thought it would have been impossible to fix it, but I was wrong. Sergei is a master at his craft. Highly recommend gunsmith.

Outstanding. I had a Winchester 84 and it was rusted on the receiver and barrel. I brought it to Sergey and he restored to pristine condition. The man is truly a Master. I highly recommend Rustblue Gunsmithing. Bob-RI.

Talented at restoring weapons, their woodwork, inner and outer mechanisms, and restoring firing capability. Able to tailor the repairs and restoration to suit the needs of your weapon, in my case, being able to keep most all original parts in place, while replacing missing pieces. Skilled in woodworking, as well as rust removal. Knowledgeable in historical significance, even informing me that my pistol used to be flintlock, but was at some point modified into percussion cap. Before and after pictures bellow.

I went to Sergey largely as the result of reading favorable reviews not on this website. I had an old flintlock long rifle that was missing most of its most important parts, including the hammer. He machined a new one from scratch and did numerous other things to it, essentially making it new again. If you have a firearm of any vintage, he is the one to fix it.

Good work, good price. Highly recommend.Sergey fitted a safety and installed a mainspring housing + sights on my carry 1911. Also worked on an original 1911 more than 100 years old, shoots like new now. Turnaround time less than a day. Excellent stuff, will do business again.

It was the first time I had to bring a firearm into a gunsmith. I dropped my rifle off, the next day it was available for pick up. Sergey modified my side charging handle and it was fixed. It was also great to listen what the issue was as I gained some knowledge as well. I trust Sergey to look at any of my firearms that have issues in the future.
