I’ve worked out in plenty of gyms before but Physical Ed’s has been a completely different experience for me. I came with multiple old injuries & Ed has developed an individualized plan for me, to ensure success. He started me low & slow with a focus on form, preventing further injury, & allowing existing injuries to improve. Even outside of private sessions, he’s there to correct any issues with form. To further support learning, he has a well organized book with pictures that correspond to each exercise in your work out. He even had me video him doing each exercise to use as a reference. So, even if you’ve never stepped in a gym before, you can feel confident in your work out. Ed knows his stuff & has the ability to “meet you where you are” and works with all levels. Early on, it’s easy to see that this is not just his job, but his passion.

After years of avoiding the gym I decided to try Ed's. Ed has created a great atmosphere and inviting community. Ed himself is always willing to help and provide guidance to help everybody meet their goals. I've learned a lot and started the journey of changing my habits to be healthier thanks to Ed and his gym. I can't recommend Physical Ed's enough!

Ed is the best personal trainer I've ever worked with. He is committed to assisting his client through a healthy workout routine and an effective exercise plan. Ed is knowledgeable and passionate about his job. He will take time to demonstrate weightlifting techniques and ensure clients practice at their own pace. I am grateful to have joined his gym. Going to Physical Ed's is one of the best parts of my day! I am greeted by his adorable dog Lexxx. The community Ed has built is very friendly. And Ed is an excellent trainer!! I have never lifted weights before, but Ed designed a perfect program for me. He is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. He spends a lot of time with each and every client. You can tell this is his passion and it is contagious. His gym is exceptionally clean and completely stocked with all the right workout equipment. I would highly recommend this gym and Ed as a personal trainer.

Like many people, I became out of shape and out of sorts over the past few years with Covid and I am not getting any younger. I knew I needed something different and holy smokes - Ed and his gym are different! He could tell me what my heart rate was at any given moment and he knows what I can do and what my limits are better than I do. If you are willing to commit and do the work, Ed can help you reach your goals. It is awesome to work with someone who clearly was born to train people. And as everyone else has mentioned here, the gym is spotless and the community is amazing.

If you are looking for a personal trainer who cares and offers a great place to train, Physical Ed’s is the place for you.Ed Carp owns and runs Physical Ed’s. Ed is the real deal as a champion body builder who trains each of his clients individually. His facility is well stocked with free weights, dumbbells, weight machines and cardio equipment, (ellipticals, treadmills and a stationary bike.) The facility, its weights and equipment are all well-maintained and extremely clean. He creates a program specific to each client whether a long time weight trainer, or a newbie such as me. What’s more, it’s a very friendly and welcoming training atmosphere between and among clients with significantly different abilities. Everyone knows one another on a first name basis.The facility is open daily from 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Ed spends many hours at the facility. His focus is on creating the appropriate workout for each client based on their desires from training, their needs and capabilities. He teaches and focuses on the appropriate technique and form for each exercise and creates a weekly training schedule for the entire body based on the number of days per week a client intends to work out. Because he is generally there, he watches and notices form and technique. He will point out slight – or significant – changes in form or technique to maximize training efficiency for the specific muscle or body part. He does this for all of his clients even when not having a personal training session.And when we are working out and Ed is not there, he has created a notebook with photos showing the proper handling of the weights, and the proper form.If you are looking for a great trainer, a well-stocked and well-maintained weight training facility that is very clean, Physical Ed’s is the place for you.

Ed is a wonderful trainer!! His knowledge of weight training as well as injury recovery and prevention are top notch. He takes the time to get to know what his clients need, what their goals are, their age and experience. His gym is clean and well maintained. I am enjoying getting to know other clients too. Ed makes his gym a special community. I highly recommend Ed as a personal trainer.

I contacted Ed desperately ready to put my health first. I have two young kids (2 year old & 10 month) so I have been a little busy. I know nothing about strength training but was ready to learn. I have heard so many good things about strength training but have always been intimidated by it. Ed is an awesome teacher and makes anyone feel comfortable at any level. I have learned so much in just the few sessions I have had with him. I look forward to each session with him. I am finally feeling excited to "workout" when I used to dread it. I highly recommend anyone from beginner (like me) to the expert. Very clean, safe and comfortable gym!

Ed is simply the best! He is remarkably knowledgeable … focuses heavily on form, such that you might just find out that you’ve been doing exercises incorrectly for years. It’s clear that he has worked hard to create and maintain a supportive, close-knit workout community in an immaculately clean and organized space. Ed insists upon making introductions and wants everyone to feel comfortable … a really nice departure from large, impersonal gyms. And his personal training sessions are exceptional.It’s Ed’s compassion and patience that have been a gamechanger for me, however. He truly does want everyone to succeed and meet/ surpass individual health goals. I highly recommend Ed and his gym!

I've been working out here for over a month and the experience has been so great! Ed makes everyone feel welcome no matter what fitness level and he has built a community that fosters encouragement and friendship. You're not just another client or faceless person at a gym.If you're looking to get back into working out or just want a low-key, local place to workout, I would highly recommend giving Physical Ed's a try.

Who says you can't build muscle if you're over 50? I was already fit cardiovascularly, and I have recently appreciated the importance of boosting strength and muscle mass for increasing my health span and longevity. I feel lucky to have found Physical Ed's, as in just 8 weeks, I have already gotten comfortable with strength training and am putting on muscle at a faster pace than I could have imagined. The gym is super clean, the equipment is fantastic and Ed has shown me how to train to reach my goals with the right form, so I feel confident I will be able to keep this up without injuring myself. Plus, everyone is super friendly and Ed always makes sure we all know each other's names and feel comfortable. What a great gym!

Awesome gym, Ed is a very knowledgeable and experienced trainer who works with all experience levels. He is very focused on good form, and avoiding any injuries while helping you work at your own level. The gym is very well equipped and completely spotless.

Gyms are always so scary because there’s so many people and all of that but Ed’s gym is not! It’s the least judgmental place you could be and Ed is very helpful and super nice, as well as knowledgeable about what he is doing. Overall, it is a great experience every time I go here!
