Great resource for those of us with not so mobile companion animals. Many of my pugs have been patients of Dr. Starr’s and I’ve referred tons of folx here.

Dr. Starr evaluated my dogs hip dysplasia and provided some at home PT exercise to help her. She was very honest and nice. We will go back if/when my dog needs more help than we can do on our own.

My dog Ellie had FHO surgery (major hip surgery). Dr. Starr was so kind and helpful. Ellie made a complete recovery and honestly no one would ever know she was ever injured.

Dr Starr is excellent. My buddy had TPLO surgery in 2022, and is now recovering from the same on his other leg this year (2023). When we pulled into the parking lot for the first visit this year, his tail went into speed wag. If he enjoys it, I’m all for it.Dr Starr respects her patients and is very gentle and encouraging with them. With the amount of time required for recovery from this surgery, and the accompanying chances for re-injury, having an expert oversee my buddy’s recovery and check his progress is crucial.I highly recommend Paws in Motion for doggo PT.

I'm giving this place 5 stars, and if I could give it 100 stars, I sure would! I have been bringing my dogs here weekly to swim for the past 6+ years. And we adore Dr. Suzy Starr, who owns and runs the place. She is so gentle and loving with our dogs and so patient. She is a true animal lover, it is obvious. I trust her 100 percent with all of our dogs. We have taken 2 of our previous senior aged dogs here for the therapeutic benefits to their health, and take our current 3 young, healthy dogs here to keep them fit, healthy and in shape year-round! I especially appreciate the heated, indoor pool in climate-controlled facility during the winter time as my dogs can get exercise even when it's too cold out for park walks! Cannot recommend this place and this vet highly enough! Super happy customer!!! And so are my canines!!!

The Beloved Goldendoodle has had a bit of arthritis/back problems off & on for the last year or so, and since I need him to be at his happiest/healthiest I started looking around for alternative therapies to taking medication regularly. We had also moved into a new apartment on the second floor of a very old home, and the steep stairs were just making it worse (so we have broken our lease and are moving to solve that problem). My list included water therapy, but where is a city dog to go? Paws in Motion! I emailed Dr. Suzy and said that someone had recommended the underwater treadmill and/or swimming, made an appointment for later in the week and after meeting him she said she thought he would do best in the pool to start. He was outfitted with a life preserver, and headed up the ramp to get in the pool. In his previous swims (outdoors) he just walked right into the water, but when he needed to then go down a ramp and into the pool, he had the "you want me to do WHAT?" look on his face. However, Dr. Suzy had a tennis ball and he wanted that more than anything, so he followed her into the pool and looked so pleased with himself! He went back and forth retrieving his ball, and each week I notice that he moves more easily through the water and he is full of energy afterwards (some dogs might be tired, but this just energizes him). She is located at the intersection of Routes 9/27, and just a couple of miles from the Mass Pike exit so no matter where you are coming from it is easy to get there. We come from Brighton, it is a quick drive and he can't get out of the car fast enough and into her office each week. I am so happy we found her so I can keep my boy's paws in motion!!

Dr. Starr is absolutely amazing! She is very knowledgable about the work she does. I could not recommend her enough if your dog needs physical therapy. She truly cares about her patients and is very responsive to any questions or concerns. Our dog Jax loved going to see her for hydrotherapy.

We have been coming to Dr. Starr for a long time. She has an amazing way with animals. Her techniques are wonderful and she truly knows her stuff. Between the pool, the water treadmill, acupuncture and other therapies, she can help your pets immensely. I think it's important that a physical therapist for animals is a vet; it gives you an extra amount of confidence that your beloved is being cared for safely and correctly.
