Very enjoyable walk, nice trail system. The staff was friendly and attentive. Nice boardwalk area that is accessible then it branches off into other trails.

This is my favorite Mass Audubon site near Boston. Very tranquil and good to visit in every season.
Dog-friendliness: No dogs or pets allowed.

Tranquil trails, moderate difficulty. Wildlife we saw/heard: birds, squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, fish, beaver homes, snakes, frogs and insects. Repellent needed. Small children should be monitored.

day9(03JUL24) sanctuary18.
wrong turn out of nature center (their map is clear, my interpretation perhaps less so) put me on glacial hill trail. was able to navigate trail system to get to river loop trail. the charles river is as muddy as you might imagine. forest plant community changes every couple hundred feet. boardwalks over oxbow ponds provide easy access to marsh and pond habitats. lots to see, lots of trails to explore.

I went here for the first time yesterday 6/4/24. The place is Amazing. Probably the cleanest park I have been to in Massachusetts. I spent 3 1/2 hours there and only saw a portion of it. The trails are immaculate and an easy hike. I almost found in Magical, maybe because I was pretty much the only one there. Well worth the $6 buck entrance fee. They obviously use that money to maintain the Sanctuary in such pristine shape. I Will Return.

Scenic trails and an interesting variety of terrain make this one of my favorite places to go for a hike near my home. Huge fan of the boardwalks that cut through the Charles river watershed and marsh areas. The trails are well maintained and staff is informative and friendly. Always a treat visiting Broadmoor.

Many trails with loops along marsh boardwalks, forests and fields and over to the nearby Charles River. People with mobility issues can likely only travel along the boardwalks. Small nature center which was displaying art when I visited. There are a few picnic tables near the entrance.

Lovely place for hikes. I’m amazed at the length of trails that wend their way through a comparatively small property. Lots of birds and other wildlife in the marshes and low wooded hills. Lots of little nooks to explore and free to Natick residents!
