Drove over here cause hours say "open" on Google, there's no one here, no answer when I called. Don't list yourself as open if you're by appointment only or at least pick up the phone during "business hours". Wasted gas and time.

Months ago I purchased what I thought was a legitimate Hulk Hogan signed trading card only to send it to get graded to have it return ungraded with questionable authenticity.

I remember going to Gilbert's when it was in Needham! We're talking over 20 years ago! I used to run up to the store before it opened on Saturdays and Sundays and spend all day hanging out I'd talk sports, buy a pack of basketball cards, watch people open packs, get Gary a sub or a slice from Needham House of pizza. Artie!!! I'd have tons of store credit built up. I'd buy a Larry Bird card or a cheaper Jordan card! I'd always ask to go into the basement or to see some Babe Ruth cards! He let me in the basement a few times lol. Gary built his store into a real hangout spot for the kids in Needham and it was safe and fun. Gary always made it such a fun place to be. As a youngster I couldn't wait to be the first one at the store. I just loved hanging out there! I was really sad to see Gary leave Needham but I'm happy he's still in business and that people are still getting to enjoy Gilbert's

Little disappointed they can't post its by appointment only anywhere besides just a hand written sign on the door. The door is also shared by a massage business, and the signs don't even state which business its for.

Best in the area. Most sports card shops today only cater to high end collectors and have a limited number of singles. Gary's shop has a nearly endless supply of singles for every sport and a ton of boxes including many affordable options. Would highly recommend

I am always amazed how blessed we are to have this place in our lives.. been a long time customer with a homie typa feel to this gem. Basically can’t go wrong. Must check out and get involved. I will always have a place in my heart for this kind of thing and nobody I know can do it better than here. If you’re not into hobbies for some reason the owner is a true gentlemen with a heart of a gold steel alloy and is an amazing friend too. Pop in and see what’s in.. always great deals.
