Dr. Jen Fraker is amazing. She saved my dog’s life months ago after he found my inhaler, punctured it, and inhaled the medicine. Lethal to dogs, she acted immediately and met up with us at the hospital in the middle of the night. After he was stable and able to go home she texted us daily asking about his status and updates. I recently had another amazing experience with her when my dog cut his foot. An extremely bad cut and my dog was completely calm and collected around her as she completed the procedure. The vet is always nerve-racking for animals but my dogs love and trust her because they can sense her genuineness and know they are being helped. She is truly an asset to this hospital and Nantucket. I wish I could explain better how much she has done for us!

We had one of the most harrowing experiences owners could have while on vacation in Nantucket. We brought our dog, Lola, to a pond out by Squam. The signs were confusing about water quality so we, fortunately, called her out of the water after she timidly walked up to her elbows and took a couple of laps of water. We had a bad feeling. With poor internet service we had trouble finding out any recent test results of the water but then our hearts sank when the pond recently tested positive for cyanobacteria --a potentially lethal infection. We called the nearest vet and they advised us to come in "right away" despite her acting fine and the pond appearing clean. They were so helpful, supportive, caring, compassionate with her--whisking her back for a bath and blood work. The vet, Dr. Minior was fantastic and so well trained--and what a way with animals and people! She gave us the immediate blood results, went over the details of the strains of bacteria they have seen and reassured us. They asked her to follow up the next day for repeat bloodwork and were diligent in us having follow up with our vet as well as sending them the records to Salem, Ma. I have never been so impressed nor seen such dedicated, truly caring staff. They were like that even on the phone. I can't thank them nor rate them highly enough.

Our 7yr old Yellow Lab Jenny because very sick and needed immediate urgent care. Dr. Fraker took our emergency call at 1am and met us at the hospital. Jenny needed extensive care for a few days at Offshore. I cannot speak highly enough for the care and compassion that Dr. Jen Fraker and the rest of the team provided Jenny.

Our 13 year old pup came to Nantucket with from North Carolina. Last week she started to get sick and dehydrated. The team at offshore was quick to get us in, efficient, kind and knowledgeable. Miss. Molly received excellent care and is feeling better! Thank you for accommodating a visiting pup!

First visit with our new puppy. The Doctor and her assistant was very accommodating and took her time to explain various thing we needed to know. The best animal Doctor we have seen ever. Even though the service is not cheap, one has to remember they have to make a living. They are worth it!

I had a different review here and after talking to the manager I decided to rewrite this. The doctor and help were very good and very thorough. I have to admit we did think the bill of $729 was high but the manager assured us it is comparable to off Island. The good thing is they found an error in our bill for over $100 that was overcharged and corrected it right away and we appreciate that.

I had an older dog and needed urgent care it was very costly and hard to get in. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. On the other hand I would give the practice a full 5 stars. I brought my puppy in for all his 1st year vaccinations and the staff was awesome. I saw a different vet every time and got to meet them all. I would trust my pup with anyone of them. Little pricey not all that bad after all it is Nantucket. They gave Brody an awesome gift package for being a new patient. They check up on him. Almost monthly to make sure all is well. The front desk staff is friendly and polite. I have no issues with the regular practice. Awesome staff. Very clean and welcoming environment and huge yard so your dog can take care of business. Just pick it up please. Lol

I have been going to Offshore since my dog was adopted almost 14 years ago. At nearly 16 he is a frequent flier there in his old age. Everyone has truly been wonderful over the years. The front desk is patient and kind and reassuring. The techs are loving, detailed oriented and hard working. The outstanding vets always take the time to answer my endless questions and calm my nerves when he has not been well. They are passionate, thorough, and knowledgeable. Nantucket is a dog lovers island, which means the demand for appointments is high; yet, they always find a way to accommodate whether it is for a regular visit or Urgent Care. They recognize the love we as owners have for our animals and share the same love. Just today we went over to Urgent Care unexpectedly, they were great about checking in with us providing updates as to when they could see him. The wait was not too long and they spent over an hour with us. I am beyond grateful for the love and care! Thank you to all at Offshore! With gratitude, Brody's Mom

This is a review of their urgent care system. They have no appointment system and expect you and your dog to wait in the waiting room for four hours or more. Completely inconsiderate of the animals and their people. Other urgent care in places I travel let people call in the morning to at least get an approximate slot.

Amazing care. They are friendly and thorough. We only use offshore when we are on Nantucket for the summer, but the care is the best we have ever received.

This is a beautiful vet facility staffed by kind and responsible people.I made an appointment for a well check combined with a Lyme’s disease vaccination for our dog several months before coming to Nantucket because I knew this practice gets so busy during the summer and it is the only one on the Island taking new patients. We live in Texas, where that vaccine is unavailable. The vet was lovely, very friendly and caring, as was the vet tech.I felt like they charged a fair price considering how expensive things are here.

Almost everyone is always helpful and polite. It has been a rough year for my fur baby family as I lost two last year and the two remaining are ill.
