Such a sweet bookstore. There is a treasure trove of gifts as well as a well curated display of books. The selection is staggering.

NANTUCKET BOOKWORKS is a cute, small yet mighty bookstore near the busiest part of town. It has a very cool children's book section and an equally cool young adults' book section, which are only eclipsed by the, wait for it,... CHOCOLATE SHOP IN THE BACK! The chocolate shop is like a short trip around the world with fancy chocolates from all over the world. I of course chose one that was made locally -- and it was creamy creamy creamy! The workers here are friendly and super helpful. There is a good selection of books and chocolates and souvenirs in a price range from cheap to I'm-treating-myself.

I called them while walking downtown in Nantucket. I asked whether they had a book, which they did. I got there within 10 minutes and they already had the book behind the counter ready for me. This was all done in haste cuz I had a tour 5 minutes later.

Love this place. Friendly staff and a great selection of books and local crafts. This is exactly the type of small business you should be supporting!

This little bookshop is packed with treasures and brimming with charm! Who can resist a small doorway? Or a giant gumball machine, or stuffed radishes from Jellycat? You will also find lots of great children’s books about Nantucket, great for souvenirs. And it’s pup-friendly! Banjo got a warm welcome and a treat during our visit!

Absolute best service, selection and design. It’s truly magical. In addition to books, they have an assortment of candies, candles and more!

This has to be one of my top ten favorite bookstores, here is why:1. The location is where the action is downtown. It’s easily accessible and in a beautiful location surrounded by shops and restaurants. So, get a book and get some coffee down the block.2. The atmosphere and decor/design is thoughtful and enjoyable to spend time in. The space is clean and well put together. It’s one of those spaces that draws you in and makes you want to stay.3. Great selection of products! Books and other items including a large chocolate selection located in the back of the store.4. One of the most amazing kid sections I’ve seen in a bookstore. The space was designed for and is inviting for children. Huge win for parents coming to visit that want to look for a book for everyone.5. Friendly staff!I uploaded a bunch of images so you can get a sense of the space. Check them out! Nantucket bookworks is highly recommended.

This is a wonderful store and service to the community. However, anyone buying a gift certificate online should know that that certificate can be used only online, not in the stores. Therefore, if you are trying to give a friend a wonderful experience in the store, especially during the holiday season, they can have it but they won't be able to use their gift card. This should be fixed.

I used to love Nantucket Bookworks and I have lovely memories of bringing my daughter into the store almost every day. But in the past few years whenever we'd visit the island and we ventured into the store the manager Suzanne has only been incredibly mean and rude. Suzanne you've been working there for over 33 years, maybe it's time to step away.

Nice bookshop, but $6 for a postcard feels STEEP.

As a library professional, I make a habit of checking out not only libraries, but bookstores, whenever I travel. Nantucket's historic district has at least two of them that I came across on a visit earlier this week. I really liked the local history/interest section at this shop. Support your local bookstores!

Very unpleasant staff. My adult daughter wass reprimanded for touching a toy. We immediately started to leave. The owner must have felt guilty because she offered us candy as we left.
