I live the section from Mattapan to Lower Mills. Nice and shady and near the river. I'm writing a book called: Playgrounds, Parks and Splash Pads: Boston's Past& Present Green Spaces" and needed the photos for the book.Dog-friendliness: Wide pathway often with greenery on both sides so that dogs can walk in grass not the asphalt path.

I absolutely love this place. I walked my dog here on the regular. It's always very clean, and DCR does a wonderful job of keeping it that way.I appreciate everyone that pitches in to preserve this place. I do wonder if it's worth casting A-line under that river and seeing what I couldn't pull out. I'm not too sure though if it's fish that migrate up through there or not. There's been a boat underneath the 93 bridge for a while now. I'll add a photo of that. There is also a water feature in the center of the park for children to play on hot days. There are also several water fountains available and they are actually well designed with 3 separate tiers, one for Adults, one for children, and a lower one for dogs! How smart. ?

Beautiful trail approximately three miles. Great for running, biking, walking, roller skating, etc. There are some nice parks along the trail to stop at in addition to villages just off the trail providing restaurants, stores, etc.
