57 Warren St, Roxbury“Very helpful staff. It's a place for anyone to enter who wants to expand their options as readers and citizens of the world. Broad selection for sure! Staff can help you hone in on in store and online options.”

9 Spring Ln, Boston“A great bookstore, very large, well stocked and organized. Many historical and more recent books. I looked for a book by Dennis Lehane (the author of Mystic River, who is from Boston) but couldn't find it. Damage. But an address that I recommend for lovers of old paper.”
9AM - 5:30PM
9 West St, Boston“you would be hard pressed to find a shop with a better collection of american history books, let alone in the conditions and prices available, anywhere in the country.”
“My absolute favorite place in Cambridge! Amazing selection in all departments, but my favorites are non-fiction, children's books (especially the staff picks -- I've discovered so many hidden gems thanks to them!), and the used book section in the basement (both the contents and the vibe). The staff members are amazingly helpful and knowledgeable, and they more than deserve a fair wage!”
“While their inventory is fairly limited for Sci fi books, they do have a wide ranging inventory, here. I like the atmosphere, here. Casual and calm like a good bookshop should be.”
10AM - 8PM
124 Salem St, Boston“Their array and pricing has something for all. I always have to stop to look at the books outside and I love that inside people sit on the floor and look through books. The only thing missing is a cat that will sit in the sun and sometimes choose you to be the one to lay with as you browse.”
“Anywhere that has books is awesome but Porter Square Books goes above and beyond. I keep coming back time and again because of the people as well as the selection!”
10AM - 9PM
55 Boylston St Suite 5510, Chestnut Hill“Staff is SO friendly, always around to help recommend something new. They’re great to order books from as well. I love stopping in, just a wonderful bookstore. Note that the prices are what you’d expect at a Barnes and Noble, but you’re buying locally.
The kids section is amazing and they have an indoor treehouse for kids to read in. This bookstore is a really fantastic addition to our community. Highly recommend!”
“Called this store to find a hard to find magazine and not only they had it but the agent whom I spoke was extremely kind and offered to hold it for me. I went there and found a top notch book store that includes an entire floor of used books. The staff was an absolute pleasure. I will certainly be back to this hidden jewel!”
“I always stop in for jewelry to see what they have. Great assortment of items for all of your crystal and calming needs. Staff is very nice and have always been able to help with any of my questions and needs.”
11AM - 7PM
60 South St, Jamaica Plain“Fabulous women-owned bookstore in Jamaica Plain, selling, as far as I could tell, only new books. Leave plenty of time to browse - the selection of books is wide ranging, and, for a relatively small space, very large and comprehensive. The exterior signage alone is remarkable! Definitely among my favorite bookstores world-wide. I came away with their The Papercuts Anthology: What Happened Here, a collection of poems, essays, and fiction by authors they hosted during their first year (2014) in business. What a nice souvenir, co-edited by the store's owner, Kate Layte.”
“This is the cutest most whimsical little cafe I've ever been to. The styling is cozy and nostalgic of an early 2000's cafe like you'd find at Borders (the book store, when they were open). I got a hot chocolate, one of my friends got tea, and the others got coffee, and they were all out of this world. It's absolutely worth stopping here on a sunday morning with a book or a friend to play chess with when the world is waking up outside.”
11AM - 7PM
127 Newbury St, Boston“The selection is great and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We were looking for a book they had 1 copy of and they made it their mission to track it down! Success!!!”
10AM - 6PM
314 Main St, Cambridge“I consider it one of the best bookstores in the region. It's worth visiting and before going down, stop at the cafe on the ground floor for a nice cappuccino.”
6:30AM - 6:30PM
11 Somerset Ave, Winthrop“I love coming to this place the music on it makes me feel warm. There are plants everywhere and they get the best iced hot chocolates. Me dad loves scones and they have a bunch here. They also have birthday cards that are so funny. And their shirts are out of this world. I highly recommend this store!!!!!!”

10 Langley Rd, Newton“I've been to this bookstore several times now, and love the atmosphere. It has a really nice and wide variety of books for its small/cozy size. There are also cute products in the front of the store. I stumbled upon a concert there earlier this year ??”
“Super cute bookstore! It doesn’t feel like it has a huge selection like other Boston bookstores, but it does have some good picks. I also love their pay it forward program!”
10AM - 5:30PM
885 Providence Hwy, Dedham“Beautiful Catholic bookstore with a rather wide selection of cards, books, and gifts. The Pauline sisters staffing the shop were very helpful and kind. Be sure to check out their lovely little chapel for a moment of quiet prayer!”
“I loved the range and selection of books, both fiction and non-fiction. I would have gladly spent hours there but it was very crowded (went on a holiday weekend) and each of the top floors were crowded and tight.”
“It's a very beautiful and calming place , I remember going in there with my friend and getting to meet the cat and owner I was also very Honnored to get the opertunity to play the piano ❤️”
9:30AM - 6PM
80 Broadway, Cambridge“This store sells products and souvenirs with the theme of MIT, which is a research center of the highest level in the world, considered a leader in technology. They sell keychains, caps, t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, gloves, USB drives, among a variety of products. the prices...just like the rest of the state of Massachusetts, they are high prices. The clothes are made in other countries such as the Republica del Salvador, China y otros, however they are of very good quality.”
“Awesome selection, great prices, and a great place to donate and support a great cause! Hit the ATM first, because you'll probably come out with a great haul.”
“incredible food in a bookstore?? count me in! their brunch is so good and there are a good amount of both savory and sweet options. the sandwiches are yummy and the sweet potato fries come with curry yogurt sauce and a garlic aioli! they also have alcohol!”
“I've easily spent hours here, skimming through poetry books. It's always interesting because what I end up buying reflects my mood of that day. Nice place to get inspired, and reflect and read. They have contemp poetry, a translated section, a lot from local poets, the selection feels infinite sometimes lol. The man who manages the store asked me if I was a poet once - which was cool, because I write sometimes but only for myself. The manager, himself, is a published poet. And they do readings here from time to time too. You can definitely find books in every price range. This shop is probably the best thing Harvard square has to offer. Love love love.”
“CLJ is the best church I've been to in Boston. I've been a member since 2008. I am very blessed to be part of this organization. This church is Bible-based and is very well organized. It has an amazing worship team and many programs that serve its members and the community. It's great! Come visit us!”
“This school is a very good and welcoming school. You will get a quality education that will definitely help you find a job. Don't pay attention to other reviews stating that it is a bad school, simply look at their grammar and you can tell they didn't pay attention very much. There is plenty of fun to be had on campus, if you are actually willing to look and not sit in your room for the duration of your stay. I have met many good friends here, and enjoyed every day that I went to Curry College. If someone rates a complete 0/3 then they simply want to bash the school because they expect that if you put only a small amount of effort in that magically the school will give them everything they ever wanted. It is difficult, and there are some things/rules that everyone might not view as the fairest that they could possibly be. But that is any school, and Curry is only getting better and better. In that past 10 years they have built: 3 new state of the art residence halls (NCRH, 886 Res Hall, and SCRH) 1 new cafeteria/gym/bookstore/gymnasium/faculty offices (Student Center) 1 new academic building (AAPC) Redone the interior of 3 other academic buildings Installed state of the art Windows 7 and Mac machines Doubled their internet speed more than 5 times As well as plans for future buildings throughout the campus All in all, I loved Curry and you really should give it a try.”
