This is the worst hospital I have ever been to! My wife got into a car accident and had really bad back and neck pain. We sat there for 5.5hrs and was not seen. We left. She asked multiple times for help and was told the wait time is 5+ hrs. I watched an elderly man bleed from his nose for 4hrs and no one saw him. We went to Good Samaritan the next day and was put in a room after. 5min wait. I will NEVER go back to this hospital. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

If i could give zero stars i would!! Two thumbs down, WILL NEVER RECOMMEND. Not a soul here knows what theyre doing. I had a barium swallow (fluoroscopy) test scheduled and they never told me where to go. I stopped at security to ask them and he didnt have a clue and so i went into the ER to ask the nurse at the desk AND SHE DIDNT KNOW EITHER! They sent me into the hallway to pickup a phone they said would connect me ti an operator and it didnt connect me to anyone nor was there a list of extensions to call if you needed to reach someone. So finally i go follow the signs to radiology and find put it was in there. This is not my usual hospital and tests like this are typically done in a different wing of the hospital. The customer service here is abysmal. Milton hospital is a joke, very poorly run. (Thankfully the folks in radiology at the checkin desks are very kind and efficient and good at their jobs. They are the only reason this hospital gets one star. The radiology nurses would rather stand and watch the news than call on patients)UPDATE: My appointment was at 9am. I have been waiting for FORTY MINUTES. Imagine being hangry and uncaffeinated and waiting this long for an appointment that requires no food or drink after midnight.

This is bad...real bad and getting progressively worse. This ER has been on a decline the past few years, it may make sense to go over to Carney. The nurses here are horrendous.

Great bedside manner from Matthew at EKG, ..karma at blood work, it's only my second time at this hospital. But feels pleasant to work with people who are patient and friendly to patients who don't feel well. But still communicate. Hope they have a great Christmas ?

I had two unfortunate experiences at this hospital. The most recent was July of 2023 I was brought in by ambulance due to excessive amount of blood loss that caused me to collapse and made my heart race. My blood pressure was very low due to the blood loss. When I arrived at hospital I was told by an unfriendly nurse to walk to registration and then a triage nurse would see me because they were very busy. I attempted to walk but needed to sit because I was going to faint again. I finally made it to the registration area and the nurse who took my vitals realized how low my blood pressure was and brought me back for to a bed and started fluids. The second horrible experience I had was in 2022. I had a swollen leg they brought me back to do an ultrasound and then brought me back to the waiting area. After 2 hours of waiting and realizing other people who came after me were called back into the ER for treatment, I asked the front desk why I wasn't being called and she said she didn't see my name on the board. Long story short they forgot that they had sent me to get the ultrasound. Once they got me back to see a doctor the ultrasound was read and found I had a blood clot and was admitted for impatient level of care.

Waited 2 hours for an excruciating tooth ache. Still didn't get seen by anybody for my pain so left. Absolutely abysmal. Rather just go to cvs and see if they'll actually help. So I will be going to a non hospital for help instead of an atucall hospital. Wow

My husband went to his primary care doctor on October 23 for severe abdominal pain along with vomiting and nausea. The doctor who saw him thought it was serious enough to where they called an ambulance to take him to Beth Israel Hospital Milton. When he arrived at the hospital they drew his blood and immediately placed him in a wheelchair and put him in the waiting room which was packed with patients. He sat there for over 2 hours in dire pain. His pain level was so intense that he could no even sit up and made numerous trips to the bathroom to vomit. He went up to the old woman working at intake asking if he could be seen due to the intense pain. This unpleasant woman had no concern or compassion as to what he was going through and simply said a lot of people are in pain you need to wait. I could not believe what I had just heard. This old woman should not be working at a hospital where one of the first requirements should be is to have compassion. My husband laid on the floor in the ER waiting room in the fetal position because his pain was so severe. He then gets yelled at by security to move out of the way. How do you disregard someone in such distress in this manner? I would expect if someone is brought to the hospital in an ambulance which was called in by another health care provider that their condition would be looked at immediately and taken serious, not thrown into a wheelchair and be made to wait for hours on end. He ended up leaving the hospital after almost 3 hours without getting seen.Fast forward to the following day his primary care provider follows up with him and says that the blood work that they took at the hospital came back abnormal and that he needed to go for a scan. They made all of the arrangements for him and within an hour it was diagnosed as gallstones. Following the diagnosis he went to South Shore Hospital where he was immediately taken in and given a bed. Surgery was performed first thing the next morning. It is enraging to know now that my husband was suffering from a severe attack from gallstones and that Beth Israel Milton could have cared less. The old woman, security guard and everyone else involved in the complete disregard for my husband and his suffering should be fired!

This hospital is terrible. They leave you waiting for hours and don’t check in often. I spent 6-7 hours in a room just for them to tell me they found nothing and sent me home. I wasn’t even discharged by the nurse and doctor I saw when I came in. They sent some random dude with a bunch of papers and a referral to a specialist that I had to wait 3 days just to speak with. I used to think doctors actually wanted to help people but it’s really evident nowadays people only see this job as a salary or they would’ve at least tried to do more to help.

My FIL became very sick with covid. He's over 90 and when brought to Milton Hospital ER waited hours to be seen, then 12 hours before brought to a room. So weak he couldn't feed himself nor get to bathroom alone, no one checked on him, offered assistance or brought water without a family member staying with him going to get it, walk him to the bathroom or pull up his covers at night. We had to push to get him Paxlovid . Just no care

My buddy is legit dying and they sent him home. Nurses and ER staff are INSANELY picky about what constitutes an emeragancy, you could have life threating symptoms and unable to move and they wont consider that "Important" enough. Nurses like these makes me understand why healthcare workers have it so bad. Because alot of them deserve it, and should leave the field for people who care to get in..

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. I hate going to the hospital because ER staff are the least likely to slow down and listen to my unique needs so I don’t get hurt, but my doctor insisted I go.I am fragile. I get hurt when people pull or press anywhere on my body too hard. And people in the medical profession, especially in the ER, tend to be too jaded and hurried to listen and respect my needs.I told the nurses and doctors my needs, and, to my surprise, everyone listened: even the triage nurse, which I told her I was impressed by. She said “If someone tells me what they need I always respect their wishes.” She did. The doctor did. My main two nurses did.I was starting to feel safer. Then the woman came in to take my blood. She didn’t listen to a thing I said, and went above and beyond to disregard my explicit wishes. She injured joints on TWO arms and aggrevated a previously torn tendon in my forearm arm (a place she shouldn’t have even been touching), by randomly resting her arm there and pushing down every so often (I made it clear she shouldn’t move or touch my arm except to put the needle in and out, and she should put the tourniquet on only when she was ready to draw blood and take it off as soon as blood was flowing, to prevent injuring my ligaments and tendons which are super weak). My friend was with me and can testify that not only did she disregard my every instruction: refuse to take the tourniquet off once blood was flowing, tied it super tight in the first place, randomly and unnecessarily put her other arm on my forearm while blood was being drawn and just pressed down for no reason (which no nurse had ever done, served zero purpose, and blatantly did was what I had explicitly said would hurt me: touching or adding any unnecessary pressure to my arm)I have blood drawn every three months at my doctors office, No nurse EVER just pushes down or rests body weight on my arm.She rested her arm on my forearm, left the tourniquet on while blood was already flowing, and then refused to move her fingers from my arm when the needle was removed and I said “I’ll press the guaze. Please move your hand.” She even verbally responded “wait.”Excuse me! My body, which you disrespected at every turn. If I say I don’t want you touching it, you’d better stop. And I wasn’t rude. I was clear and assertive as I need to be to keep myself safe. She even tried to grab my arm to see my wrist badge and I said “please don’t. I can hold it up for you. And she complained and moved like she may have reached for it again, and said “I need to.” I pulled it back and said “you need to see it, right? I need you to not touch it.”I had previously torn a tendon in my forearm and she reinjured that.I have weakness in both elbows because of her work. Not only that, she palpated for a vein! My veins are bright blue on my super white skin and they stick out clearly. She just went about pressing all over (even on the side of the joint) after I’d told her not to touch more than to put the tourniquet on and off and the needle in and out. No more than necessary.Again, I have blood drawn every three months. This behavior was a power struggle. It was blatant disregard for, not just my wishes but, my medical needs. She hurt me.I finally told her to stop and pointed to a vein sticking clearly out on the other arm and she jabbed it.But there were veins on that arm, I just had a hard time looking at that arm, I was so anxious at that pt.I should have told her to stop and remove the tourniquet and I should have asked for a different nurse and left if it was clear I couldn’t be safe. I was so anxious I lost all ability to advocate clearly.I told my friend, “if you see it happen next time, please speak for me.”Her mom is my nurse advocate and usually steps in when I get so stressed because my verbal boundaries get crossed. she’ll stop the procedure if needed (thankfully her presence usually means it’s not needed). Her mom was out of town so she came.

Recently got my appendix out, I don’t think I would have had such a smoother recovery if it weren’t for Rachel and Christina PA from Dr. K’s surgical team. They are the most compassionate, humble, and caring people I have ever met and truly believe they are laying out the blueprint for patient care within the healthcare system.
