“When I moved to Milford in 2018, I needed a reliable mechanic. Like many others, I assumed most auto repair shops might try to overcharge you, but you put up with it because you have no choice. However, I quickly realized this shop is different, and it has completely changed my perception of what a trustworthy repair shop looks like.
As long as I live in Massachusetts—no matter where—I will only come here. Over the years, I’ve brought all of my children's cars (six cars between four kids), my wife’s car, and my own cars here for servicing. Every single time, the experience has been exceptional. The manager, Rich, is fantastic. Even though the shop is always busy, he and the team make me and my family feel like we’re their most important customers.
When I first started coming here, I tested their honesty. I already knew what was wrong with my daughter’s car but didn’t want to drive 50 miles to my usual mechanic. I played dumb and let them take a look. They came back with an accurate diagnosis, matching exactly what I already knew. They could have easily tacked on unnecessary repairs to inflate the bill, but they didn’t. That kind of honesty was refreshing.
A few months later, my other daughter’s car needed work, and this time, I dealt with the owner, Ray. After fixing the car, we had a conversation, and he shared how much he values his reputation in the community. He explained that he doesn’t want to walk around town with his family and have someone recognize him as “the guy who ripped me off at the repair shop.” That level of integrity stuck with me.
It’s disheartening when I see new customers come in defensive, assuming they’ll be taken advantage of, but I understand where they’re coming from. If I could, I’d tell every one of them, “You don’t have to worry here. These guys are the real deal—honest, reliable, and genuinely good people.”
Sorry for the long post, but this shop deserves all the praise it gets!”

“Great service and reasonable prices? I was very surprised how much a synthetic oil change is. I also had a inspection which my headlights were a little bit off and he fixed those for free.
I was there for 45 minutes awesome job and nice mechanic with sense of humor. I asked her if I could have my car towed to her shop if I have a problem.And she said, without a problem, you can have it towed here, there are envelopes outside.Put your key in and write your information on the envelope.That is comforting to me.Seems I have AAA and I will know where to go. “I just moved to Milford, called and and got a friendly person on the phone who told me they had my Car Fob Remote batteries in stock and welcomed me in! I arrived, he even installed them into my fobs. I was being charged over $60 for replacements every 6 mos. at a battery store in my last resident town, when the retail was just over $8 here for a better battery product! The man was super friendly and knowledgeable, explaining how to get the most out of the battery etc. Great experience and I highly recommend this place! I know where I'll be going for my battery needs moving forward!”
“I love this dealership. The service department is top notch. The staff is pleasant and so helpful. Today I came in an hour before closing and was met with a smile and pleasant conversation. While waiting I remembered I needed a sticker and asked it that could be done also. “I was in Milford, and figured that before I get on 495, to fill up here since Milford is so awesome with the "Full Serve Law". I actually don't understand why every town in Massachusetts doesn't have the "Full Serve Law". Seriously.... why would anyone actually want to fill up their gas tank themselves? It just doesn't make sense. Plus, anyone who does patronize those places that are self serve are taking jobs away from unemployed people. I would seriously feel guilty if I owned a gas station and didn't have it full serve. Anyway, this station fights with Mobil across the way on Route 85, but I'll still be coming here. The prices are lower and the amenities are greater. Now, this station doesn't have a great convenience store. If you are in need of a convenience store Mobil is your best shot. However, if you need an oil change, minor car repair, or even a propane tank, they've got your back too. Good prices and lots of services. No car wash, but between the other four in town, you'll find another place nearby. Would be great if a full convenience store was added here, but overall, I really like Granite Gulf and the "independent" feel of the shop, even though Gulf is a chain gas station (always good to see franchises!). 4 stars for Granite Gulf in Milford.”
