Just was ignored at the counter and left to wait for over five minutes after he saw I was here. My packages are prepaid, he just moves so slow and is so lazy.

The guy Joe who works here is very rude every time I have to deal with him. He likes to argue and definitely doesn’t like to let women talk at all. I have zero problems with anyone else here.

I love going to this USPS. John, one of the employees, is so helpful, nice and always happy. Definitely recommend this store.

Ok- so here it goes. No whacky review thing for a post office, but when I entered- I had to ring a bell 6 times to get the menacing roar of an 80 year old woman that the system is down. She said it'll be fixed in 5 minutes, it wasn't. 30 minutes later I left. This proves that the government can't do anything right.

I've always enjoyed my local post office. They're usually pretty friendly and right on point with information. They go out of their way to both take care of and remember their customers. John is probably the best there, being very knowledgeable and friendly. However, I am quite displeased with their recent service. One of the new (female) deliverers they've hired has repeatedly lost our mail. It always ends up being found days later, but nothing has been done about her. And if its happened this many times to us, I'm sure its frequently happening to other people. So far, my father had a package go missing, I've had 2 packages go missing and just recently my wife had 2 packages go missing. Now when I say missing, I mean not delivered. But, the crazy thing is that the girl is marking the packages as delivered and that's what is appearing when we run the tracking number through USPS. I have complained several times and my father has complained, but nothing has been done yet. When the package is marked as delivered, it needs to be delivered! Plain and simple. That's 5 packages lost in about a months time! This has never happened before, until recently. And as I've said, if it has happened this many times to us, how many others are experiencing this same issue. I don't know what the deal is over this, but the postmaster there needs to either properly train his / her staff or terminate them. What is it going to take?! -------------Edit 01/27/17 I'm upping the rating by another star as they seem to have the issue worked out. Not giving 5 stars though, as the problem should have been fixed a lot sooner. Plus I got 3 calls from the post office.. all different people, all claiming it must be a different postal service that's losing the mail. Yet it was a post office worker that originally told me about the new girl and that I'm not the only customer that complained. -------------Edit 06/05/18 Turns out I forgot to pay my post office bill that I paid faithfully for years. And it definitely wasn't an issue of the cost. Maybe it was an issue of my prior bad review. But my payment was less than a month late and they shut it down started forwarding the mail back to the sender. I just completely forgot to pay it and that's my bad, but here is my issue.. when I made my first complaints here on Yelp I got three separate calls from the post office to explain that it wasn't their fault. I got those calls almost immediately after I made the complaint. Yet, not one person could give me me call to let me know I was late on the bill? How about this, in addition to the 3 calls I got, I got a handwritten note from the person delivering the mail saying it wasn't their fault. So three calls and a handwritten note in my mailbox to let me know that it's nobody's fault yet not one person could have notified me that I'm a little late on my post office box payment?! How about taking some of that energy explaining how it's not anyone's fault and doing something nice for your customer like a handwritten note saying that I'm a little late and to avoid the box being shut down, I need to make a payment in a week.. Or whatever?! But honestly, the post office in Peabody and even the small one in West Peabody is so much more polite and nice and customer orientated. Good business = Positive customer based solutions, not excuses.
