Grew up in the next town over and remember going here as a kid. I've since moved to NC and am up in Worcester once a month for work. When I can I shoot on over and bring some pies and sausages back home.

Did you ever try KOA Pies on A st. In Southie. They we're billed as Australian meat pies but we're really derived from the English Pork Pie. They had an array of different meat filled buttery pastry shelled hand held warm savory pillows of goodness. My favorite was the Irish Beef Stew Pie. Sadly, they closed as well as the one in Eastie. I was lost. Now I'm found. It was an hour ride but I'd do it again. Thwaite's in Methuen. They were sold out of a bunch I wanted to try. I went too late in the day. They did have their signature Pork Pie. I grabbed a couple others, hamburger and onion, chicken pot pie, etc.... the pork pie was in my hand before I got back in the car. Dense perfectly cooked pie crust encased a juicy ( not too much ) spicy ( again, not too much ), ground seasoned pork. It needed nothing. No salt nor pepper nor sauce. Worth the trip. The world is right again.

Pork pies are great. Not too salty. Just right. And very friendly service.

Looking for corned beef for St,. Patty's Day ? Get it here, you won't be disappointed. You'll pay more for it, but it will be the best you ever had! Not to mention, the pies and homemade sausage are excellent. Again, not cheap, but great stuff. Staff are super, friendly, regular people with pride in what they do. The quality shows in their products.

Love Thwaites market. The bangers and pies are a taste of home. The Steak and Kidney pies are divine when they have them.

Honestly have only ever gone here for their individual chicken pies. You won't be disappointed if you stop for a box of them (you can't eat just one!). The staff are also always friendly and helpful.

The legend of the Pork Pie stays true! So much pork, so much pie! They should call it “Pork Pies, by Thwaites”! Soooo good!

My fiancé is a huge fan of this place. I enjoy the chicken pies and Shepards pie. I've tried a couple others but those are our favorites for sure. It's a staple in the area and worth stopping by.

After reading reviews and trying their pork pies, I agree with the five star rating, unreservedly. Not only was the filling generous and flavorful, even the crust was delicious. The potato salad was fresh and seasoned perfectly. What a local gem!

LOVE IT!!! 5 star and above Don't be fooled c by the "corner market" look Newly discovered for me 2019 maybe it's a little out-of-the-way where from where I am but when I'm heading north I always make a detour there. CUSTOMER SERVICE is above everything fresh yummy meat pies from breakfast to lunch to dinner to dessert.
