I lost my debit card and drove to the bank from another town and Cathy treated me like I was bothering her. I miss gwen she knew how to treat people.

I have nothing but good things to say about this bank. Their customer service is superb, and unlike a lot of businesses in general, they're proactive.During a handful of times over the history of my account, there have been honest mistakes where I have the money but it's in the wrong accounts and overdraft fees are triggered. Most banks won't even even notify you of the problem. It's not their problem, it's YOUR problem, and it's YOUR fault for being irresponsible so they collect their overdraft fee and tell you next time don't screw up and that there's nothing they can do or whatever.But Methuen Cooperative Bank actually called me, told me of the issue, and not only allowed me to transfer funds, they also waived the overdraft since I clearly had plenty of money in another account.You don't get customer service like that anymore.

Worst customer service ever had called tiday at 1206 and right off the bat the lady had a attitude am just a average customer trying to get a question answered never delt with such a poor customer care and it was customer service I called would not recommend this bank to anyone

They chose to close and removed money from an old account without notice. Then refused to fix due to inactivity of said account. Glad I moved to a less shady bank. They are thieves and are only there to make money. I wouldn't trust them✌

ZERO STARS! This bank will charge YOU a fee for THEIR ADMITTED MISTAKE and refuse to reimburse you, THEY ARE OUT FOR MONEY. I have been with them ever since, and I am now 26. I am disgusted and absolutely appalled by the way the “management†has not only handled an issue I was having, but the way they spoke to me and personally treated me. Never before have I had an issue with them until last week when a glitch took place during an internet transfer, to which they were all too quick to place blame on me. Due to this error, I had a bounced check that accrued many fees. Because the error took place on the site service THEY are providing customers, I asked them to reimburse $42 worth of fees from the bank the check was deposited into. Plus, I was under the impression any over drafted amounts in my checkings would be taken from my saving account, after all, I had sat down at the bank to have this done in 2011. Considering I have never had an overdrawn charge and how long I've been banking with them, I did not expect them to treat me as poorly and unprofessionally as they did. I hope the President sees this and learns the kind of employees he/she has representing them. The first “manager†named Kathy was so unpleasant to speak to and so quick to say no to me before attempting a shred of empathy for my situation. She also had no idea what she was talking about in regards to my situation before attempting to resolve it. She then called me back and left a message that was bad-mannered and also included personal banking information. Unprofessional to say the least. I then asked to speak to her supervisor, Dennis, to which he had to call me back several times because he was too busy CONSTANTLY INTERRUPTING me to fully understand what I was explaining to him. He was so rude and arrogant I could tell he did not care to help me. He even admitted the bank has made several errors throughout this entire ordeal, yet refuses to reimburse me. If the bank had done their job accurately, there would not be any fees for them to have to reimburse. I even talked with my other bank, to which they agree Methuen is at fault, and told me had this error happened at their bank, they would reimburse these fees. My favorite part was when Dennis HUNG UP on me in the middle of my statement. When I called back to get a corporate complaint number, he refused to give me a number, told me the President wouldn't take the time for my call, claimed he felt harassed and hung up again. HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL?! Do NOT entrust these people with your money. Go to a bigger bank where they actually have customer service skills AND have to be accountable for their actions. Trust me, otherwise they will take advantage of you and you will regret it. I hope they pull the recordings from my phone calls, and I look forward to playing that voicemail to anyone who wishes to hear it. When I finally spoke to the President Harold Otto, he was the rudest of them all. Sad excuse for a man or business owner. Go take your money to Chase Bank, they will give you $200 or more for opening with them!

These scumbags cashed a check that someone paid me then two weeks later came back and took the money out of my account and said it was stolen? They cashed it and told me it was good! It cleared! All set! Two weeks later they take the same amount out of my account and say too bad for you! We're not losing any money! It's 100% their mistake and screwed me out of $1500!!! I hope these people rot in the bowels of hell.

I have had accounts with this bank over 20 years love the small town like treatment thy are very warm and friendly particulary If you go their often ,very accommodating helpful I will always stay with this bank !! no other like it!!

Love this Bank , not much change in employees that work here so that makes it a very comfortable bank to work with. They are very personable , which is great !! We have been with this bank for many years and plan on sticking around.
