I booked a last minute massage because my shoulders were sore from work and Ian ended up being my massage therapist and I was so impressed! The last few massages I’ve had elsewhere left me feeling the same as when I went in, but after seeing Ian my pain had melted away. He had great pressure, asked the right questions to know which areas to focus on, and was very knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole service. I didn’t have high hopes going to a chain spa, but I will be coming back to see Ian for sure!

Went to get a massage, I drove an hour and a half to make it since everywhere near where I lived was fully booked for weeks in advance. I arrive 10 minutes prior to my appointment time and only when I get to the front desk am I made aware that my massage therapist is out of the office that day. The man at the front told me he didn’t usually work the front desk so he didn’t know how to call me. I asked for a voucher since I drove an hour and a half both there and back now and I was told that they can’t do anything. Terrible and would never recommend.

If you’re thinking about signing up to be a member, think again. Trying to cancel my membership has been a nightmare that’s dragged on for months. Don’t be fooled by the promise of easy access and quality services; availability is a joke, and the massages are mediocre at best. Save your money and your sanity. Look elsewhere.

I would not recommend becoming a member. I have called 6 times in 5 days and actually drove there to cancel my membership and every time I've been told that they couldn't help me and the manager who I was told was Liz has not called me back. They refuse to return calls and trap you into a membership. I feel awful for the employees. If they treat their paying memebers this way can't imagine how they steal and cheat their employees

I've been getting massages for 30 yrs. I am also a business owner for over 30yrs. I had the worst massage a few weeks ago. I spoke to the manager at the Methuen location and she was useless. It cost me #130 dollars for a terrible message and when I complained she would only offer me an additional to another massage I had to pay full price on. When I said I wasn't interested, and I wanted a refund, she got nasty and hung up on me. I will never ever go back. It was a terrible experience all the way around!!

Never had services at Massge Envy and never Will. If I could give 0 stars I would. Had an appointment at the Methuen MAlocation and had to cancel same day due to waking up sick. Was told I would still be charged a fee. So said then fine I would come in and get everyone sick. Yes I was upset.. I'm sick with a fever.. Was told that I was being disrespectful. No I was being considerable not wanting to get people sick. This was supposed to be a gift and wanted to sign up for their membership and now I have no desire to EVER use their services. I understand they have a policy for same day cancelations and I can see if I was trying to cancel an hour before but seriously I was canceling 6 hours before. So if you book an appointment and you happen to get sick the day of your appointment just go or you will get charged. Apparently they don't care about the health of their clients.

I don’t recommend. Their “60 minute” massage is actually 50 minutes of hands on which was my experience during my year membership. When I addressed this they explained that the 60 minute includes the consultation before massage begins and the time it takes for the client to get unchanged. This has never been my experience anywhere else. The two stars are for some of the massage therapists that are good and that the facility is clean and quiet.

I have been a member of massage envy for several years and can say for a fact that their service has gone down drastically while their prices go up. I wish I had ways of proven it to whoever may read this but more often than not my appointments have been canceled and unavailable to be rescheduled anytime nearby. Specifically in the last year or so More than half of my appointments have needed to be rescheduled on a date that is not even within two weeks of the original. Today my appointment was canceled not even an hour before I was supposed to arrive. If I had canceled my massage on my behalf they would be charging me for a full massage. Now I want to reschedule my appointment, it cannot be rescheduled until August based on their availability and my work schedule. You would think that canceling on a customer last minute would mean you would want to take care of that customer so they don't leave. I am one of those customers who will leave in hopes of finding a place where I can get a massage in a timely manner without last minute cancellations. Also, if you have a massage envy membership at a different location, they can and will charge you extra because their prices do not match between massage envies.Needless to say, I am not a happy customer and I will be trying to use up the last nine credits I have before I cancel my membership. If you cancel your membership and want to keep your credits, you have to pay a holding fee of $10 a month to not lose those credits. My advice is to shop around and not jump on the massage envy chain bandwagon. It will be fun at first until they stop caring about your schedule.

This was my first massage ever and I am very disappointed it wasn’t nothing I expected I feel like I wasted 130 to feel the same. Yes it was peaceful but I wanted to get the tension I had on my lower back more and it wasn’t even that and then I noticed my hour wasn’t from when I entered the room to the end there was 6 minutes left on the timer from what I seen on the tablet and she told me okay we all set

One receptionist was fantastic. Another looked like she’d just rolled out of bed and needed to go back to it. It sounds shallow, but not the reception I’d like walking in for a $200+ service at a spa. ?? Not to mention my account was charged after paying at the spa with a gift card AND they booked my appointment incorrectly; I guess I took it too far by rescheduling. lol Giving away the remainder of my gift card.Erin, the esthetician, was great.

Walked into this location, and the woman at the counter kept falling asleep as I was trying to talk to her about memberships and gift cards. I actually thought she was going to fall over. It is literally only 2:30 in the afternoon. I was shocked, given the previous reviews for this location. I just turned around and walked out. Not coming back...

I am very disappointed with the way accrued/transferred hours are handle.I had 3 hours accrued so I decided to transfer some hour to my friends to use. Months later I decided to cancel my membership. During the cancellation process and on the cancellation form it stated I needed to use my accrued hours within 60 day after the cancellation date. The manager and front desk confirmed I had 1 hour left which I used within those 60days. Never mentioned also transfer hours. Hours that were in someone else acct needed to used. Now one person I had transfer/gifted 1 hour tells me that my gifted hour was no longer active at Massage Envy. When I called to figure it out I was told those hours needed to be used prior to my cancellation. This was never mentioned to me, to the person with the gifted hour or listened on the rules on the cancellation form I signed. Not only did I pay $70 for that hour during my membership but also $10 or $20 (not sure) to transfer the hours.Since the hours were transferred to another person when my acct was lookup they never showed there so I was not aware those hours needed to be used. The person with the transferred hours was never notified or myself that when cancelling my acct their hours would be affected.I don't think this is right since TRANSFER means it was given to someone else and does not belong to me. Also the fact I had to pay to do this transfer and the hours do not reflect on my acct anymore.Question to massage envy:How was I or the person with the hours supposed to know those hrs needed to be used prior to my cancellation if this is not listed on the cancellation form and the hours to not show on my acct, neither the person with the hour was notified that they needed to use the hour? This is only convenient to Massage Envy since they get to keep hours that clients are not aware need to be used.Definitely not using this service again.

Megan was excellent! My back was a mess and I had knots in basically every body part and she worked hard to get them all out for me. Truly appreciate her!
