the people running this uhaul franchise location ("sofia's flower shop") falsified the mileage, and added CDW insurance to the receipt (which i had declined).additionally, when i dropped off the vehicle, i had asked for a receipt.the man working there refused to provide one, and instead insisted that i drop the keys in the drop box.when the receipt arrived by email an hour later, it had been substantially padded, by mis-representing the mileage out, and also by adding CDW which i had declined.i know the exact mileage out, as i took a photo of the mileage and emailed it to myself as proof, timestampted by the google server, at the time of rental.by mis-representing the facts, the franchisee had more than doubled the actual cost of the rental.these people do not answer their phone.i've contacted uhaul at the provided contact address.if the issue is not resolved by tomorrow, i'll be filing a chargeback with the credit card company, and a complaint with the FTC, as well as with the district attorney.if you are considering renting here, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else - the aggravation at being cheated, and having to take the time and effort to undo the fraud, don't make up for the cheap rate they advertise.please take action against this dishonest franchisee, uhaul, they are giving you a bad name with their fraudulent billing practices.
