Radio Factory was a significant upgrade for my family and I when we first moved in. The community was exceptionally pleasant, with friendly and welcoming residents, and the complex itself was always chill and peaceful. Overall, our experience was positive, and we never encountered any major issues. While the building wasn't perfect, it was a great fit for us.
Unfortunately, things took an unexpected turn which led us to stress, upset, and frustration. We received a letter informing us that they no longer wanted us to stay and wouldn’t renew our lease, even though my dad had already signed it. From May until now, we’ve been under immense stress trying to find a new place on such short notice. We fought tirelessly to stay, but received no assistance from the building manager or the lawyer they provided.
The reason we were forced to leave was supposedly due to "late payments" on their end. Last summer, we missed two payments and went to court to set up a payment plan, which took nearly a year. Each month, we personally handed physical checks to the leasing office, yet every month, we’d receive a “14-day notice to quit” letter because our checks weren’t processed on time—they were simply left in a pouch in the back office. When we pointed it out, all we got was a “whoops, my bad” as if it was a joke. This happened every single month, leading to them refusing to renew our lease.
Thankfully, we found a new place nearby, but it cost us a significant amount of money to move. When we desperately needed clarity and assistance from Radio Factory and their lawyer, they were nowhere to be found. But as soon as we informed them we were leaving, they quickly responded with a “thank you for letting us know.” The irony is infuriating. Moreover, it’s worth noting that most of the people being forced to leave were minorities, while a large number of white residents are now moving in. Suspicious, isn’t it?
To John Locklin (manager of Radio Factory), thank you for absolutely nothing. We don't need any insincere apologies from you. You and your team absolutely suck

I'm resident in the building and am increasingly concerned about the maintenance issues and the way issues are resolved. A few recent examples:
The air-conditioning unit in my apartment has been leaking continuously since a week; causing not only a major inconvenience, but also water damage to personal effects. They have still not been able to fix the problem. In fact, they have made it a bit worse by breaking an AC valve while trying to repair the issue. Multiple promises by the building management to "resolve the issue by today" have failed. On top of this, this is considered a "minor issue" by them; implying that I will receive no compensation for this (not even for personal effects damaged).
Another example also comes to mind. Unfortunately, this one is also fairly recent. The dishwasher in the unit constantly struggles and has smoke coming out of it. Another "minor issue" according to their helpline. "Don't worry about the smoke, just shut it and we will come have a look at it in 1-2 days" is the response I got.
Because of these issues (and similar ones like this), I have had to stay at my friend's places off and on, inspite of paying a premium price to live in a "luxury building".
See photos for leaking water. Also see photos of AC with missing parts (no vent for directing flow of air).
Note : Im among the residents that have spent the most of amount of time in this building.
UPDATE :
- It has taken 11 days to repair the air conditioning issue (DURING A HEAT WAVE). It also took 2 days (and not 1 day) to resolve the issue with the smoke coming out of dishwasher.
-The apartment was evidently at least partially unusable all this while. Eventhough I had to sleep elsewhere or sleep in a flooded room etc. there has been no rent credit issue to me, inspite of the recommendation of the building maintenance head.
These facts are not in dispute.

Don't make the same mistake I did. I have lived here for less than 3 months and had nothing but problems starting, but not ending with, the apartment not being in move-in ready condition.
UPDATE: If you want anything even remotely quiet, this, again, is not the place for you. Not even factoring in the trains as that was a known quantity going into renting here. No, this isn't the trains. This is constant noise at all hours of the day from all possible sources. I have no idea how that is even possible as this property is tucked away in what seems like a quiet area, but no. It's constant noise. And, btw, the trains go through at ALL hours regardless of what management may tell you. Trains go through at full speed at 3am in the morning sometimes. Nothing But Noise.
Oh, and when it rains, the elevator goes out for a week.

I have been a tenant at Windsor Radio Factory for quite sometime. Unfortunately, my experience with the management team has been consistently disappointing.
On several occasions, I have approached the management team with concerns about various issues. Each time, I was met with vague promises and no follow-through. I was assured it would be addressed promptly, but there was no action taken.
Additionally, I have noticed that the handling of tenants financial matters is not managed with the expected level of accuracy and care. This has led to unnecessary stress and confusion for myself and other tenants I have spoken to.
Moreover, I overheard unprofessional and derogatory comments about tenants as I was leaving the leasing office, which is completely unacceptable behavior from a management team. This lack of professionalism and respect has further eroded my trust in their ability to manage the property effectively.
These issues have caused significant inconvenience and stress, making it difficult to feel comfortable and valued as a tenant.
In conclusion, the management team at Windsor Radio Factory needs to address these serious issues and adopt a more transparent, respectful, and efficient approach to tenant concerns. Until these changes are made, I cannot recommend this property to potential tenants.

I had a fantastic experience from start to finish! Me and my partner were interested in the unique loft design of this property and its reasonable pricing & location. Not just that, we were very impressed with Skylar, our leasing agent, for her attentiveness, hospitality, and dedication towards helping us get on a waitlist and secure the apartment of our dreams! I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for an apartment in this area. They will vouch for you and find one that matches your best interests!

My girlfriend and I were thoroughly impressed by the staff, amenities, and apartments at Windsor Radio Factory. Our tour was led by Skylar Shuman and she was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. We got to see apartments in each building and check out all the facilities with her, and she was very prompt in helping us complete our applications and initial deposit.

Jack Flats is an extremely pleasant and well kept place to live.
All staff members are always warm, polite & very welcoming. The maintenance guys are absolutely the best! AL, Mike and Cameron are impressively responsive, professional and courteous all of the time.
They all really do go above & beyond, which makes this a great place to call home!
Also, I can't forget the ladies in the office Colleen & Jane, they run this team and always make certain things function smoothly, any requests or assistance is never a bother. The bunch is overall a great combo!!

From the moment we walked into Windsor Radio Factory Kristen was so kind and welcoming. She was knowledgable and know all of the ins and outs of the apartments and was able to guide us through all of the different options that we had. At one point, the office became very busy and she was able to juggle multiple potential residents while also still making everyone feel important and heard. Great experience with Kristen!

Our apartment search at Windsor Radio Factory was a great experience. From the moment we walked into the leasing office, we felt that we were taken care of in the best of ways by Skylar. She went out of her way to go into specific detail about our options and other things to note. We ended up deciding to go in another direction for our search but are grateful for the information and hospitality provided by Skylar and the leasing office at Radio Factory.

When the person greeting you and showing you around is possibly the most (genuinely) cheerful, knowledgeable, and helpful person you have ever encountered, and is sincerely enthusiastic about what she’s showing you and about the team with whom she’s working and company she represents, you are bound to open your mind to the possibilities of living in this very cool, very funky place. Skylar listened attentively to what we were seeking in a home, without judgment adeptly adjusted her list of units to show us, and was as happy as we were, it seemed, that she’d found us our match. We are so excited to move in!! (Thank you again, Skylar!!)

Our actual apartment itself is nice, it’s very close to the metro station, and the management is great, but the tenants are horrible! There’s consistently dog poop and garbage everywhere, and people park in others’ paid spots (and park non-EVs in the only two EV charging spots for a large complex with dozens of EVs) fairly frequently
