“I called around to a few places last week to compare prices and confirm if the whistling sound I was experiencing was likely a brake issue. I chose Top Auto because the reviews were incredible, prices fair and John was so helpful over the phone. John and the entire team were fantastic when I arrived, they quickly diagnosed the problem and provided me with options. They were able to replace my two front brake pads and rotors, and even helped me as a courtesy with a strange clunking noise I was experiencing. The engine splash shield was partially hanging down due to missing screws and they kindly replaced them for me. I am beyond relieved to report that my car is running as smoothly as ever - no more strange noises! I will happily return with any further issues and highly recommend them. Thanks again!”

“I had a nail in one of my tires and was slowly leaking. Walked in to the shop and was attended immediately. After accessment, the tire was not repairable because it was close to the sidewall. My tires are all around 7/32 thread depth. They offered a used tire that was very similar in thread depth for a reasonable price, including balancing and installation. Was in and out in 1 hour. Pretty good for a walk in. While waiting, many people also dropped by and asked for help either for alignment or replacing a tire. Highly recommended. I prefer local shops to chains and this is why.”

“Mike was amazing. I called over in the morning, and even though Customer Service said they were full, they connected me right with Watertown & Mike was able to fit me in for later in the day. Not only that, but he had all of my paperwork printed before I arrived, and he knew exactly what I needed. Mike took a stressful situation and flipped it into an stress-free, easy, happy day. I’m so grateful!

“Brakes were making a really loud grinding noise when I was driving. I work full time and have a 1.5 year old daughter I drive to daycare every day. “If I could give this place more stars I would. What can I say...my experience at Mavis surpassed any previous expectations of what an autobody should be. From the moment I called inquiring about a tire. Taylor was very helpful and able to accommodate me on that very same day as a walk in. Personally I dread my own dealership and anything that has to do with servicing my car, from previous experiences. But what a relief it was to come to Mavis Tires & Brakes. Not only was the pricing affordable but they were also informative and upfront in showing me what was my current status of my car was, in what needed to be fixed. “The name may have changed to Mavis Tires & Brakes (It used to be NTB, then NTW.) but the service remains great. I started coming here in the 90s, when I moved to Woburn, and have had all six of my cars serviced here over the years. Today was brake rotors and pads all around. I asked a lot of questions and they showed me all, both the old and the newly installed hardware. Friendly and professional service, as always.”

“Took my Corvette to Herb Chambers 3 times for the engine misfiring..After the 3rd visit they told me it was the transmission and to take it to a transmission mechanic in Wakefield. Within 1 hr the transmission place told me it was fine. Took it to essex County auto repair. They did a tune up in one day. Car runs like new and they did it at a excellent price. The dealership should be embarrassed,they couldn't fix the car. They had it for 3 weeks.. can't say enough about essex, thank u for fixing my car.”
“We had everyone’s car nightmare, a flat tire just before a holiday weekend roadtrip. Susan at Direct Tire promised and delivered. We brought the sad tire in and, as AAA predicted, it was beyond repair. At 5:30 on Thursday night before the Labor Day weekend, Susan, Service Advisor extrordinaire, tracked down the quirky tire and had us on the road by the next morning.

“Moving to Lynn meant we needed to find an auto repair shop we could trust. We shopped around and finally found Larson's. This is a woman owned and run business that is thorough, organized and affordable. Their goal is to make sure you receive the service you need to keep your car in top notch condition.
I brought my Honda here last week. After they did their review of the car, they recommended a few items that needed to be done. I agreed to have them do the work which included some outsourcing of part of the exhaust system.
The repairs were done on time and for the price quoted.
Driving home I got a warning light, so I called and they said bring it back tomorrow. I did and they determined two items needed to be fixed which may have been related to the repairs or maybe not.
Diane, the owner said that they were covering the cost to repair as it was possibly related to the other work done! I was so happy she did this and I was so astounded I don't think I thanked her enough. If you need your car serviced do not hesitate to use Larsons's. They have me as a customer for life after the way they treated me.”
