I cannot say enough good things about Melrose KC. All of my daughter's infant room teachers are amazing and so thoughtful. I get pictures and updates throughout the day. They all know our daughter well enough to let us know when she is having even a slightly off day. It is worth every penny knowing my daughter is loved and well taken care of when I am at work!Thank you so much Melrose KC staff!!

My daughter went here for 2 days. On the second day there was an incident with a child hitting mine with a toy. Long story short... I was not made aware. It wasn't "that serious" which I get. But the mark on her face said otherwise...At pick up no one mentioned anything... "oh she had a great day, we enjoy her." BS! All the time taking pictures of our kids when you should be focused and engaging with them. Not to mention this place is dirtyyyyy, small and quiet frankly not a place I would recommend to an enemy. I received a notice about paying the week after, contacted the director and received nothing back but a collections bill 2 months later.

I cannot say enough good things about the Melrose KinderCare! I am a first time mom, and my little girl started their at 12 weeks old. Their infant room has always been nothing but helpful and reassuring. Our little girl LOVES everyone there. She is smiling when we drop her off and still happy as can be when we pick her up. I actually feel guilty if she doesn't get to go to daycare!!! Because they are so amazing at giving her a fun filled day, and she truly loves being there. They have parent night once a month, which means my husband and I actually get a date nigh t(which is a miracle). And they always send us cute pics and videos through the app throughout the week. I do not know what I would do without Melrose KinderCare. They have made being a working mom so much easier. Our family is beyond lucky to have them!

I LOVE Melrose KinderCare. My husband and I both commute to Boston for work and don't have family nearby, so when my daughter was born, we needed full-time care. My daughter started going there 5 days a week, 10 hours a day, when she was 3 months-old and she continued going there until she started Kindergarten at Roosevelt Elementary. The small class sizes and caring teachers made KinderCare my daughter's home away from home. Now my son goes to Melrose KinderCare and the teachers have become our extended family. I highly recommend the Melrose KinderCare family to anyone looking for full-time care.

The pre- k teachers are really good at what they do. They are caring and my child feels really comfortable there. The director and the director assistant are excellent at communicating and working with the families. We really enjoy the location and hope to stay long time.

We have had two kids who have been through Kindercare in Melrose and we couldn't be happier. The teachers feel like family and it is so friendly and personal. Our kids love going and we're sad our oldest is aging out soon!

Do your research and pay attention, I wish I would have noticed the warning signs. I chalked it all up to just being a toddler---but it wasn't. My little one was pushed into an inappropriate age group to help boast their corporate push to overfill. I noticed disengagement and spent way too long trying to figure out if it was them or us. Immediately after we made the choice to leave and our child was with toddlers again and was once again happy to go to school, screaming at drop off stopped, they began talking and engaging again. Most of the teachers are trying to do their part--leadership needs to take accountability for their practices that do not have the child's development as the priority.

PROS: The teachers are nice. The building, class materials and facilities are wonderful for the kids. The building is kept clean. It is in general an organized and safe place for kids. They have very interesting curriculum/topics that they cover with kids like earth, math, numbers that they present in a very creative way.CONS: Teachers are not really attentive to kids. Their attitude is that they use the yard to bring the energy down of the kids but they don't really engage them in activities. I found them leaving the kids on their own and teachers sit down on a bench to let the day just go by and they are just having social teachers reunion there. This is fine to some extend but not when you pick up your kid and find that the diaper hasn't been changed in a while. I also didn't find appropriate that KC has creative ways to make parents pay for extra teachers, or breaks by naming them as workshops. I think that for the price paid that should be covered in the core curriculum. Prices go up every year there and tuition is a bit up the average. Some of the teachers are experienced but others look like trainees.
