I was told by a couple different people to go to color works for help in choosing an interior paint color. Anyone that is choosing paints for a new home can understand how maddening it is. There is only so many whites you can look before you lose your mind. A major factor in choosing the right paint color in your home is to figure out which way your windows are facing (N E S or W). As the light hits the paint differently and could create completely different undertones. I found out which way all of my windows were facing and walked into color works excited I may finally get an answer. I asked the salesman if he was familiar with northeast facing windows for lighting. As this would help greatly in choosing the “right” white. He looked at me like I was the dumbest person on the planet. His response was “People come in here and buy paint, in 20 years nobody has ever asked me that question”. Dumbfounded that he was talking to me like that for one - For two an employee working at a paint store for 2 decades and never heard of this is astounding. I walked right out completely disgusted and will tell anyone I know looking to purchase paint the place NOT to go. Treat people with respect. It’s not that hard .

Helpful and knowledgeable. Happily answered questions about painting a bathroom from a couple of newbies and helped us pick out supplies.

This place is terrible. The sales people have attitudes and aren’t helpful when you ask for advice. In fact, they seem annoyed that you’re even in the store to begin with. Also, EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there, they forget to put an item into my box of purchases. Once, the guy put an entirely wrong box into my car when He asked that I wait in my car and he would bring it out. When my husband went to change the items, they were rude as if he was inconveniencing them. They must have been REALLY rude because he is generally oblivious to these things. Today was the last straw- I asked if the PAPER PAINT BUCKETS were free and if I could take one or two for the samples and paint I just spent I we $350 dollars on, and the guy said “they cost money”. Not “they’re 10 cents each but please, you’re a great customer, please take one on the house.”

Bad Customer Service (Long-winded, but bear with me)It saddens me to write a negative review about a local business, but I felt my failed attempt to patronize their location warranted it.I went in on a Saturday requesting a color match to a paint sample I brought in that I'd removed from a wall in my home (I'd visited them a week earlier inquiring about this service and was assured it was doable). Upon making my request the salesperson began looking at paint swatches and even began to walk over to their sample wall when I stopped and explained that I needed an exact match (I could have gone and looked at the sample wall myself if that's what I was after). After what seemed like too long to clarify what I thought would be a simple request, he told me to come back in 30 minutes and my paint would be ready.30 minutes later I returned to find that my sample hadn't been matched because they didn't have the right product. I was told if I left my name and number they would call me later that day as the shipment would be coming in.As I did, I was asked to confirm if my sample had an Eggshell finish; I replied, "I don't know, does it?" After all, he's meant to be the expert not me and he's staring at the sample, so shouldn't he be the one telling me the finish? After some confusion we decide on the finish and I left the store awaiting the call. When the next day came and I hadn't gotten a call for my product, I went to check their hours so I could swing by and check on my order. I now realized they weren't open on Sundays meaning I wouldn't be getting my order until Monday the earliest. Unfortunately, at this point I decided I needed to try a larger retailer.I attempted to call Colorworks and leave a voicemail that I no longer needed my order, but of the two numbers I found listed, one was disconnected and the other left no option to leave a voicemail. I decided to try again on Monday to again tell them I'd found another option so they didn't need to waste their time.On Monday I called, explained who I was and that I would not need my order; I was told that's fine and considered the matter dealt with.On Tuesday, I missed a call and saw I had a voicemail from Colorworks saying my paint was ready. I called them back and explained that I spoke to someone yesterday and already dealt with the matter. The salesperson proceeded to tell me that my "order had been ready on Saturday". I told him no one had called to tell me to pick up my order and he proceeded to say "whatever" to me a number of times. When I reiterated that I called and spoke to someone the previous day about cancelling the order he told me "well that message never got to me". Apologies, but I did my best to communicate I didn't need the order in as quick a fashion as possible, it it NOT ON ME to regulate how you communicate within your business. It is not my fault the message never got to you, it is your employee's.In short, I never picked up my sample. They did appear to produce my order, but the customer service, communication and overall confidence in getting my order correct were lacking so I therefore cannot recommend this business.

Just went into the store as suggested by the painter that is painting my house. The younger gentleman (dark hair) that was to assist me exhibited the worse attitude and customer service that I have experienced in a while. I explained that the painter who was painting the exterior of my house suggested I come in and work with them to get assistance with picking a color(s) that were close to the look I was going for. This gentleman's response was "uhhhh, Scott is so annoying". I picked 3 colors and asked him a few questions again and he was super abrupt, curt, and acted like I was annoying him. His manager needs to remind him that this is his job - he should show up and be ready to treat customers with respect and be ready to assistance else he should find a new job. I will not personally give this store any more of my business and I will be sure to let our painter know that the paint store he gives his business to refers people to says thank you by calling him annoying!

Totally Unsatisfied with their costumer service. The are all so rude, I’ve been here like 10 times - I had bad experience in all of them. Just horrible. It seems like they’re doing a favor for you.

Always amazed when businesses act like they are doing you a favor and act inconvenienced when you are trying to make a purchase. Called in today and had a few details to work through to get the right paint but instead of a little patience, I was treated as if I was an annoyance.

I'm really not sure what ever happened to customer service or your neighborhood hardware store, but it's really disheartening when I try to support a local business and I get attitude from grumpy staff members. My husband literally called an hour ago and asked if they sold samples of paint, we were told yes, and the price. So we put our daughter in the car, on a rather chilly day, and head out. I go to the counter and say "I'd like to buy some samples" and the gentleman says "ummm.... what color? Because I'm probably gonna have to say no" Ooookay. So I tell him we called and he says "I probably had them then." I'm not entirely sure why he was asking what color I wanted, I can't figure out why that would matter, but irregardless.... So, long story short, they won't have any more in 'til Monday, at which point they can sell them to someone else.
