Hands down the absolute best place in Medford for all of your optical needs. Riccardo assisted me with putting new lenses in an existing pair of sunglass frames. He really took his time to understand my needs and made helpful suggestions on how to adjust the frames. My new setup is much more comfortable and I can see tremendously better! Riccardo and his team are customer service focused, timely and offer phenomenal service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends based on my experience. Thanks again for everything!

I have been going to Rick for several years now and have purchased about 4-5 high quality pairs of glasses from his shop. My family has been going there since his father owned it and the customer service is second to none. He doesn’t try to sell you the most expensive frame and he gives you valuable opinions when you are trying to decide on an option. I’ve made the mistake of using a more convenient location because I’ve moved around a bunch and it was a mistake. I’m almost 30 years old and most people my age are using Zenny and all these online places because quite frankly it might be cheaper (don’t know that for sure), and more convenient but I would rather pay for the quality and service at Rick’s shop. Anytime I’ve need a repair or the like, Rick takes care of it without issue. Just a really solid guy and is not a salesman at all. I recommend him to everyone and would not go anywhere else for my glasses. Thank you Rick and team!

Moved to Medford and really missed my optical store in Chicago. No more!What a great little store! Great selections and even greater service. (I normally do not write reviews.) My darling daughter (college freshman) broke her primary set of glasses during the first semester and did not tell me (I had gotten a cheap backup pair to help in case of emergency). I came to visit in the second semester and learned that she had been wearing the backups since October. And then, they broke on the Saturday morning when I was visiting, as she woke up. I found the Medford Eyeglass Shop and Rick in particular on this website (and one other) and was determined to go. He literally dropped everything in order to help. We walked out less than an hour later with a brand new (and beautiful!) frame, with the previous lenses in (he gently shaped the lenses so that they fit perfectly). AND, they are a frame that he designed (ask him about them! They are gorgeous and made in Italy). I cannot express how much I deeply appreciate Rick and his colleagues at Medford Eyeglass Shop. My daughter (who is, btw, FUSSY!) loves them. Parents of college students in the area, do not hesitate to send them to Medford Eyeglass Shop, as he has a college-aged child and he knows how to talk with them! We're solidly coming here for life. Thank you, Rick! You are an exceptional human being.

I went from wearing readers to BAM needing progressive lenses. After hearing some stories from others about how tricky it can be to adjust to progressive lenses, I scoured reviews to find a local shop for my new vision adventure. I'm SO glad I chose the Medford Eyeglass shop-- all these five-star reviews are spot on. Rick was patient and didn't make me feel rushed as I tried on frame after frame in his cozy shop. Although he has an impressive selection of frames (he even has some frames he's designed!), he didn't quite have what I had in mind. He never made me feel pressured to choose a frame-- and kept telling me that if I was going to wear these all the time, I really needed to love them and he gave me suggestions of other places I could look. I ultimately found my frames elsewhere, but based on my initial experience in his shop, and the reviews-- I brought them right back to Rick for my lenses and I couldn't be happier. It only took about two days to get used to my new glasses-- and I realize how much I wasn't seeing now that I CAN see. Going forward, I know where I will be getting all of my glasses and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to others.

Terrific eyeglass shop! They have done two different pairs of progressives for me. One went without problems but the prescription for the second pair was incorrect and Ric was incredibly patient while dealing with the issue (which was no fault of his). Highly recommended!

Would give 10 stars if possible! Backstory: I fell asleep while wearing my relatively brand new Warby Parker glasses (after my dog ruined my other pair)- my dog got a hold of them again and chewed them until they were crooked. I was absolutely devastated thinking I would have to spend another $200 to replace them. I quickly googled this place and went the same day to see if they were salvageable. My fiance and I saw the sign on the door and realized I had to make an appointment, but the extremely kind gentleman (who I assume was the owner) answered the door and said he had some time to spare at that moment. He fixed my glasses in less than 10 minutes and they fit good as new! Moreover, it was only $15 to fix them. I offered him a few dollars extra for his trouble which he declined and said to donate it to a charity. Such a kind, kind gentleman and absolutely deserves all the business in the world. Thank you!!

They can do high index polarized prescription sun glasses! Most places can only go to .67 This place can go over .7 My wife is very happy. We tried so many places first. They are not cheap but they are worth it if you have a tough prescription. He is also very patient and helpful.

Lifechanging. Best eyeglasses buying experience I've had in my life, and I've been wearing glasses since I was a young kid. In about 2019 we stopped by the shop because my wife's glasses had a minor problem--a missing screw of something like that. "How much do I owe you?" I asked. "No charge," Ricardo replied. I committed then to return. And I'm so glad I did. Riccardo and the two staff members I met were patient, helpful, and went about business efficiently. They were fun to talk to. I learned a lot. Now I have just the glasses a middle-aged guy with changing vision like myself needs. And I've already given away one of Riccardo's business cards to someone I thought needed it. I look forward to recommending more people to the shop.

I was recommended to Medford Eyeglass shop after breaking my frames whilst on holiday. Although they could not be repair, I was offered an affordable solution and the problem was resolved. Excellent customer service, a true professional

I've been coming to this place and sending others to it for years now. A friend told me to stop paying big-store prices for glasses and go and see Rick. Rick Buzzanga is the owner. His prices are good and so is the service. And it's a second-generation local business. Bring your prescription, they don't do eye exams. "Where everybody knows your name" (Or they will, 'cause, like me, you'll go back.)
