I genuinely thought he knew what he was doing, given the price he charged me to tailor my pants. He was incredibly rude, and when I asked to try them on before he made the alterations, he insisted there was no need because he was confident in his skills. Well, he ended up ruining my pants.

I would not recommend this guy, especially for the price he charged. I could have done better myself.I bought these jeans that were a little too long on me but figured I would get them hemmed. I thought they were neat because the hem was ~2” wide. The guy asked “do you still want the wide hem?” and I said sure without really thinking about the distress lines. Got them back looking like this. I’m pissed but will probably just have to deal with it because he did what I asked. But I feel like as the professional he should have advised me it would look stupid.The bridesmaid dress I also had taken in at the waist and said that something would probably have to be done about the strap across the back too since it was also made too big and was drooping. This was his solution. No time to fix it, so I guess I will just have to wear my hair down.The alterations made to the waist of both the jeans and the dress are fine, they do fit me better than before which is why I didn’t give one star. But if you have anything other than the most simple of alterations (though I thought my alterations were simple!!), I would go somewhere else.

Always a 10/10 experience! I always feel super comfortable and welcome and use him for everything from workout tops, to dresses to jeans! My go to.

This guy is just flat out rude. I've gone twice and left with dresses in hand, he is just really condescending. Also he pulled out a green dress and called it blue. Idk. Go anywhere else

My husband got his wedding suit, shirt, and pants tailored here to much success! The craftsmanship was impeccable, the turnaround time was expedient, and the price was affordable!

John has completed quite a few projects for our household. It started with repairing my pants and the most recent project was a zipper repair on our daughters backpack. The projects have been completed quickly, at a fair price and I have always been very happy with the work. Will definitely continue with John and HK Tailoring as my go to shop.

I love this tailor so much! He renews my faith in quality and craftsmanship in the 21st century. He fixed a moth hole for me, I couldn't even see where it used to be! Same for a hole in my husband's leather gloves. Every time I go here, I enjoy his friendly spirit, excellent work and reasonable prices. A real gem, we are lucky to have him in our neighborhood!
