We bought a 2019 VW Jetta and could not be more pleased with the service we received from Steve Warren! He took the time to listen to us and what we were looking for, he was very personable and very knowledgeable when it came to the different cars and options we had. I would highly recommend Colonial VW of Medford when you're in the market for a car. Be sure to ask for Steve!

Short version: Worst customer service experience we've experienced in a long time, maybe ever. The Service Department has proven time and time again that they just dont care. Not sure why we keep giving them chances. We have lost all trust in the Service Department, which is sad because the Sales dept was so pleasant when selling us the car. Guess that shows where their interests lie. Longer version: My wife made a Dec 28th appt for service. She shared in advance pics of the broken side mirror, and gave a description of the SOS call function failure. During the appointment, my wife sat from 10am to 2pm while paying a babysitter. After all that, was told that they couldn't do anything as they did not have parts for either problem. She paid for the parts up front for the future visit. Was told there would be 2 separate appointments as the mirror parts would be in first. And they would call us to schedule when the parts were in. No labor costs were in the estimate given, my wife had to ask and was told "maybe around $200". She called weeks later for status and was told parts had been there a while. Asked for a loaner for the next appointment as the first was wasted, and we couldnt afford to wait that long again. She was told the manager would call. She asked why nobody called us when parts were available, and was promised a manager would call about that as well. We never received any call from a manager. The Friday morning before the Sat service appt, I called 8 times without being able to reach anyone in Service. Called the Sales Dept and was able to get through and they offered to leave messages for me, and had me leave voicemails asking for a call back about the loaner. Didn't hear anything by the end of the day and couldn't get through to Service. Was able to reach the Sales dept and was told Service was closed for the day and that a note would be left for the Service Manager. They also transferred me to his voicemail to leave a message. The next morning at the appointment, my wife was told there was no option for a loaner and that we were outside their area for their courtesy drop off service. I had to bring my kids to pick her up and have them miss their gymnastics and basketball classes that we paid for. She was also told the labor costs were actually almost $400. When she asked to speak to the manager she was told to try emailing him. We have still not received a call from the Service manager. When we got home, we discovered the passenger door will not open from the inside and we need to roll down the window and reach out to open the door. Definitely a safety hazard Was asked to bring it back in to fix. We made an appointment for the next Saturday, but still haven't received a confirmation. TLDR: They treat you well in order to have you buy a car from them, and then dont give a crap about you when its time for any service.

Just want to reiterate :Stay away from this dump . Now they're paying Mexicans 15$ a day. A day to build your "German Engineering" , and that guy is the boss . The guy putting your tires on is making 2$ per day. Zero quality control . In Japan they take pride in being the best . That's why Japanese cars are the best and run forever . Nobody thinks it's weird I haven't gotten one comment back about how great their German driving machine is? Not one . Oh and here's another mileage report on my Honda, only thing I put in it is gas . And stranded VW Audi drivers. Is it true when they say you'll only ever buy a VWAudi Porsche BMW once in your life ?Still waiting for. VW guy to call me and my Honda out ....Anyone ?? In the past week I've seen about 4 or 5 "loaners" from local German dealerships. Do you know what that means? These pieces of caca break down so much that the dealers have cars for you to use while your itbox is getting worked on. I've never seen a Lexus or Honda "loaner" from any dealer. If You do snap a pic for me I'll send you a 10$ DD card .

We were very pleased with our experience with VW Medford and our salesperson, Steve Warren. He explained the differences between the different models and helped us decide on the best choice, without being too pushy. He was able to secure the exact car we hoped for and the following week we were driving off the lot! And he even gave us a great restaurant recommendation! We would definitely return to VW Medford.

Excellent Service. Greg Cohen really went above and beyond for my recent car deal as he did on other occasions. From start to finish, everything was perfect and he offered the best advice I have come across in my time purchasing/leasing vehicles. A very knowledgeable, honest, and true salesperson. Highly recommended and for sure will go back as needed.

Still dealing with issues with a brand new car! It's been 2 months and still dealing with issues. I scheduled online an appointment (4th attempt) to fix a balance issue. The car wobbles over 40mph. It still hasn't been fixed. I arrive for my appointment at 10am on New Years Eve and told I should reschedule because they only have 2 techs in today and they close in an hour. I'm staring at a piece of paper in front of my face stating they close at 3pm. I said "Are you serious?" He said he'd like his foreman to look at it and he's not in today. Why schedule the appointment if you can't fix it? Why not call and reschedule before I show up at the dealership? I obviously left and wrote an email to director of the service department. It's now been 5 days and no response. Please stay away from this service department. The management at this location doesn't seem to oversee any of the workers or customer satisfaction. I'm going to the BBB next and try to fix it that way.

Worked with George in the sales department and it was a great experience. He is a really nice person and took the extra time to go over everything with me and my husband. He made purchasing our new vehicle very pleasant. Love VW's, always had a great experience with their Colonial's service department and now we know George and the sales department is just as nice to deal with.

Make sure you confirmed your appointment because I booked an appointment 2 weeks ago and when I arrived they say we have no record of it (not to mention I took the day off so I can get it service)... Ridiculous... Front desk people were rude, like they just wanted to get rid of you asap lol... We purchased the vehicle there so thought the service would be decent since the sales went well. Turns out it was the worst place to deal with... I will be taking my business to VW Watertown instead... Just wanting to update my navigation and people there were clueless.

I had a great experience working with the folks at VW of Medford, they made the purchase of my new car and the trading in of my old car seamless and took care of getting new plates etc... I'd highly recommend them.

Dealt with an insurance issue the day I was to take delivery, and the staff was very accommodating. I already knew what car I wanted and why before arriving and Colonial made it a very smooth process without any fuss. As someone with experience at plenty of dealers from many different brands, I can recommend Colonial.

An all too rare act of kindness. Frank Dicostanzo the Service Manager, assisted me in transporting my Atlas to California. I'd purchased the vehicle from another dealership on the east coast and needed to make a flight home with my family of 5. I was in a jam trying to find a pick up location with a three day window. Frank allowed me to leave him the keys and handle to pickup for me. Never was I in doubt that my car was in safe hands. When I asked how I could compensate him for this service he simply said that he would be happy to help a loyal VW owner. Wow this dealership knows how to hire! If I ever have the opportunity to buy another... I'll call them first!

I bought a brand new car in April. Won't go into the issues I ran into with this. The least I'm expecting is to get my reimbursement for the state inspection that I had to get done myself due to timing issues (dealer said would reimburse). Many texts and emails later, I'm being ignored - even from the General Manager. Still waiting on reimbursement 3 months later. Very unprofessional dealership, and will not go here again or recommend. It's a shame considering my family has been buying VW cars for the past 2 decades and have brought a lot of customers (through friends and family) to a different dealership, but decided to give Medford a chance this time. Never again.

Let me start off by saying that the service department is the worst. I have came to this place for service for more times then I would like to. They really don't care about your satisfaction just your money let's make this very clear. I came here last year for a leak in my 2015 vw Tiguan that was coming from my panoramic sunroof. I paid for diagnosis and for the repair which at that time they told me the 4 ducts were clogged and cleared. A few weeks later there was a huge rain storm ... more water comes in my car now at the bottom as well where my gas peddle is. I take it yet again back to vw where again I pay for diagnostic fee which isn't cheap... and now they tell me it's the seal around my panoramic sunroof that it's worn out a big $1,400 fix. I had just spent a ton of money to fix what they told me was the issue and was not about to spend that much to fix this when it was there mistake. They offfered to tape up the sunroof to prevent the leak. It worked until the tape after some time started to come off my car with heat, rain, snow. I went back after some months and they taped over the old tape. It's been about a year now and my entire tape came off but in chunks my husband tried to get it off and it just doesn't. I called volkswagon and spoke with someone in sales who told me they would fix it and it would take a day. Never mentioned anything else. Well I get there and rusty tells me I have to pay for ATLEAST 3 hours of labor to remove the paint they THEY put on my car for the error they made on diagnosing my car. Not to mention my car has a recall as well for the steering wheel which hasn't worked and I have been waiting almost 4 months for the part to come. This dealership offers you absolutely nothing but asks for you to give them every part of your body in car payment repair for all mistakes that they make. I really enjoyed this dealership because of sales. Honestly sales is just as bad as the service now. The sales manager Derrik I spoke with him voiced my concerns about driving a car with a faulty airbag, no horn, no steering wheel control I have two small kids who depend on my car this dealership has offered no assistance what so ever. I do not recommend coming here unless you want shitty service and for them to take all you have to get a worthless car.

I have been coming to this dealership since 2015 to service my VW Passat SE 2012 and always had a good customer experience. Of the service team, my favorite is Rusty Hogan. Rusty has always given me a warm welcome whenever I had to drop off the car for service and helped me out on several occasions where an issue had to be address quick. In cases where I had to leave the car overnight, he helped me out by getting a replacement car. He's knowledgeable and his pragmatic advice about the car's maintenance was well appreciated. More recently I was in the market for a new car as the Passat was getting too small for our family. I was introduced to Paul Lazzaro who helped me review my midsize SUV options within VW and made sure I was able to test drive the car I was considering (with the current market, it's hard to find new cars on the lot to try out!). Paul has been patient, kept me well informed (email/phone) and gave very helpful advice on my trade-in options that I'm very grateful for. While we did not purchase a new VW SUV, I would not hesitate to recommend Paul to any friends interested in a Volkswagen. If we would return to the VW family, VW Medford would be my preferred choice to buy and service the car.
